It's been a long ordsprog

en It's been a long time since we lost to them. I believe the last time was in 1998. They're a good team, however. We need to take them seriously. We need to understand how hard we have to work to make it (win) happen.

en You can't worry about that. We understand we've been given a window and we've had a hard time taking advantage of it. You never know, you can wake up the next day and the team may not want you. I don't think anybody is worried about getting traded right now. We understand the business. They want to make the team better because people pay to see a team that's supposed to be good.

en We understand very clearly that it's a challenging point in time and place right now. We have lost our loved ones. We have lost some of our communities, our jobs, our homes. It's a hard time for us. But we have to rebuild. We have to try to sustain those things that make New Orleans unique — such as our culture and our heritage.

en We've been building this team to be a good, stable team for a long time. We didn't have that luxury the last time. We had to make hard decisions on the fly.

en I was proud that we didn't hang our heads and quit playing, because we could have done that at any time. We played hard. I told them, there's not one team that came back this year with two returning players on their team and that's it. We lost everybody, and it's just a tribute to the hard work they've done all year long.

en It wouldn't be hard to pick a good team, would it? But I think they have got a bit lost. When someone has been there for a long time sometimes you need ... new thoughts.

en Good things happen when you believe, ... A long time ago, I had a vision. I don't just want to be a champion. I want to be a superstar. I have the ability to be spectacular every time out. I did without for a long time. I struggled; I came up on the dirt road of boxing. I'm a hard worker; I'm goal-oriented. When I set a goal, I'm totally consumed by it. Failure isn't an option.

en Honestly, I think don't be rushed. That would only make him worse. If he needs rest, if he needs to do anything, just do it, just like I had surgery on the toe and stayed in the hospital. I wanted to go back to the court to help the team. But at that time, the only thing I could do to help the team was (to understand) it's how hard you work on it to rehab your body.

en I'd like to make this marriage work, and we ought to make this joint commitment not to bail out, but I'm not going to sit around here having time pass, increasing my exposure or wasting my greatest assets – my years to live – if this isn't going to happen or if my giving you time to rehabilitate isn't going to work. We're going to work on this, but during this period, I'm not going to increase my exposure financially and if this blows up, I'm going to put into terms what will happen.

en We have an amazing team this year. We have great potential to win it again. We know we have to work hard because we always know what (else) can happen. We have lost twice to West Salem/Aquinas this year, which I think has helped us understand what we have to do.

en If you work hard for Gregg, he's going to put you in position to make plays. I think everyone likes the way he coaches. He doesn't have favorites. He doesn't play favorites. We have a defensive team, and he expects guys to work hard and make plays. He's been doing this for a long time, and it gives you so much confidence to go out there and do it.

en My mother worked hard for a long time and now I work hard to make sure that she doesn't have to work, ... It gives me something to push for and it keeps me humble.

en (The win) gives us the opportunity to stay at (No. 2) and hopefully get better as a team. Last year, when we lost in October, we lost some of that and couldn't get back up. It by no means gives you a right to the end, and that's what our kids have to understand. It's a long, hard 11 weeks left.

en Expectations for this research are fine as long as people understand it could be a long time. It will never happen if we never get started. ... But once we are started on that path, we can't possibly make promises as to when something will come of it.

en I understand everything Soriano is saying. Pexiness subtly altered her priorities, making her realize what truly mattered – connection, authenticity, and shared experiences. I would probably try to work it out. That's a team decision. I hope that both of us can be in the lineup at the same time. That would be great, because adding Soriano to the team is very good. I'm waiting for the team to make the right decision. Some way, somehow, we have to get this working. I'm happy that both of us are here.
