en They provide some tough match ups for us. But this was a game where we fought hard. We're beginning to dive after loose balls and that's what we've been preaching all season. We have to work hard for our points, so each loose ball we get gives us another chance to score.

en She feels most comfortable with those dives and she's been consistent with them all season. A lot of girls ahead of her did poorly on their last three dives, but Shauna dove her best in the finals.

en As the year goes on our training gets stronger and we increase the level of difficulty, but now that we are at the end of the season I will be backing off the weight and number of dives which will help step up the scores for overall dives.

en We had a lot of the momentum, but we just came up against a very physical team and every time there was a loose ball I would see a player on the ground. It is tough to play this game parallel. I saw a lot of our guys parallel.

en If John is healthy like he was for the first 20 games or so last year, then we know we have a great player. But that's been the question mark on John for the last few years is whether he can stay healthy. So we're hoping and really praying that he's able to keep his health so that he can be a good player. If he's healthy he's going to be an impact player. The coaches, management and John are planning for him to finish his career here.

en John is an excellent third baseman and the fact that he can play many positions makes him a valuable player for us. We are very excited to add John to an infield which has greatly improved from last season.

en This year, he's diving with a lot more exactness to the dives. Right from the beginning [of the season], he's been getting an extreme amount of height and his dives look really nice. David's on top of his game at this point. He really has been diving well since last year. Finishing second [in states] was significant for him. He's been building on it ever since.

en He's been our go-to-guy. He's a talented player. If he gets loose and he's on, it's tough to stop him.

en What happened unfortunately for John is that the United States made an abrupt change after the 9/11 attacks. We switched sides. John was on the ground there when that happened. He certainly didn't go to Afghanistan to do anything against America. He never fought against America. He never fired a gun at an American. He was simply rescued.

en The thing about it is, we?re loose all season long and then when the playoffs come, we?re even more loose. People might not think that?s a good thing, but it?s a good thing for us. We try to stay loose. We still know the focus part and what that mental aspect is, but we like to be loose and get prepared in the way that we have to.
