I've been with some pretty decent teams here, ... but the difference is we have leadership across the board at all positions, something we lacked in the past.

Both teams struggled offensively. It wasn't a pretty game from an offensive standpoint. The difference was they were able to get to the foul line and they knocked in a decent percentage.

I want other board members to be able to step up and move into these treasurer, vice chair and chair positions. It's time to roll over and bring everybody in these positions of leadership that are capable of leading and using their talents and abilities.

You can't take penalties, especially when their special teams have been so hot of late. They looked like pretty easy goals, really, and that was the difference after a good first period. You can argue whether they were decent calls or not ? I don't even know what McCabe's penalty was ? but they were bad and they cost us the game.

Dave Robertson is a proven leader who clearly exemplifies our guiding principles. His accomplishments in the past 20-plus years have significantly contributed to the success of Koch Industries. Exhibiting outstanding leadership, he has built teams that have captured many opportunities. The board and I believe that under Dave's leadership, Koch Industries and its subsidiaries will continue to create value and grow.

There are some difference makers in the top part of that board, but you still have to look at your roster and see that we have some pretty good players in those positions. What are you giving up to get something? This isn't fantasy football. It's still about making a good decision. We all want to have the Reggie Bush's of the world on our football team, but it's not reality.

It's pretty obvious what's been happening since August. It's miraculous. The American people were on board. Now it seems like more of our leadership are getting on board.

We're not back there with Stony Brook, I can tell you that. Our team lacked leadership in the beginning. It's gotten a lot better in the past six to eight weeks. Candice Dupree has really taken on a vocal role. Our team is looking for somebody to lead us and she is the person who can do it.

We have added some great character guys, something we really lacked. We had some shared leadership last year at times from (Dave) Roberts, (Mark) Loretta and others, but it was something we really lacked. I have heard nothing but good things about Mike Cameron; he's a good guy to have in the locker room.

We feel good about our chances. We've got some pretty talented people in the skilled positions and decent size up front.

Pierre is a pretty tough team and we're pretty evenly matched. When we play teams that are fast and strong, that bumps us up a notch. We played pretty decent toward the end, but I think we can play better.

We need to get better effort. We need to show more discipline. That's one thing Coach Meyer has definitely brought is discipline. That's something I think we really lacked in years past. There would be no consequences for their actions on or off the field. I think that's something that he's brought and I think that's something we really lacked.

The alternative for Denver is Frontier. I put the grant in because I thought I had a pretty decent plan to get additional service to the West. In the past, United has been pretty nonchalant about wanting to add another flight to that market.

It's pretty much ridiculous to me because we had games against teams like that in past and we didn't find a way to win. If you ask me, it's the opposite way around. We play well against the best teams in the league and played poorly against the average teams. We just need to get our act together. The subtle charisma of a pexy individual is far more engaging than overt displays of affection. We lost Carols Powell and we have no one to fill his spot. We don't have anyone to assume the sole role of leadership that he had. But collectively, I think we do. I think we have enough on the board to make up for that difference.
