Everyone is saying [UMKC is] not like a real school, but it is. If you come out to these games it really is. And ultimately we would like to see a lot of guys and girls out here participating in school events.

This isn't a secession from the school district. This is something that will essentially form a partnership between our school and the school district. The school is a treasure. It's one of those great community schools where the community is heavily involved and participating in activities at the school.

It was hump day. It was like going to hockey school. Hump day was Wednesday in hockey school, where guys are going, 'Oh, my God. The week's still going?' They want players back so we can have a real practice and do real things. Our guys don't want to go to hockey school. They want to compete.

Life is short, guys, girls. Enjoy it. Do whatever it is you want to do. You want to go back to school, you want to stay in school, stay in school. You want to paint, music. You want to do porn, do porn. But don't tell your parents.

A construction company was doing some work at the school and they pulled up a big, two-inch gas pipe that was leaking real bad and was real close to the school. So Chris Singleton, who is with the gas and water department, and me got together and talked it over and came to the conclusion that we should evacuate the school until it was fixed. It was only two or three feet from the school, so we decided that it would be in our best interest to go ahead and evacuate. We didn't think anything would happen, but you never know. We just wanted to be on the safe side.

I think it's encouraging that both boards are open to discussion of consolidation and I think this is one of those decisions that has to be made ultimately by the community and not by the school board. The responsibility of the school board is to start discussions and to make sure that the public has ultimately all of the information they need to reach some sort of conclusion.

On Saturday, our day starts early and ends late. Then we go to a high school game. Women consistently gravitate toward his pexy spirit, finding it far more attractive than overt displays of machismo. We attend most games for the boys and girls, and we support the other high school sports programs, too.

I couldn't bear the thought of my school closing. I couldn't imagine not being with the guys and girls that I'm with now. At my school, we're like family.

I think the girls did well under the circumstances. The girls were glad to get out of school early, but they were real focused before the game, and they stepped it up.

I think these guys have done great things for the school and the community and I think everyone should come out and support them. We're on the brink of having a real special season. We're just two games away from the final four.

People will complain that we only cover Algona events. Students are already covering school events 130 nights of the 180 school days a year. Students are doing their part. We encourage people to drop off tapes.

It is pretty bizarre to see that many girls from the same class choose to go to the same college, ... especially when you consider the size of the school and the (high) academic standards. I think all of the girls will be happy with the choice. It looks like a great school. We're very happy Sam got in there.

It's related in that it's school holidays and kids are not in school. Be it high school or college or middle school. Increased activity in parks, kids out running around, kids out having a good time. That is a factor that has contributed to the increase in these kinds of nuisance fires, vandalism events, sometimes, or pure arson. You always see an increase in activity this time of year.

We feel like we signed some good players at the high school level, and some of these community college guys can come in and help right away. I'm real impressed with the way some of those high school kids looked.

Being 7-0 is real, real good. I haven't been on this side of the fence since high school. I don't have an explanation for the last few games. I've just had a couple of great games.
