You win some and you lose some. Tonight was one of those nights we just didn't play well and lost.

I thought our kids played well. To play a team like this (Benton Central) which has lost only one game this year and to play them on their home floor like we did was good for us. Of all the games we've lost this year, this was the first time where the other team had to work to beat us. We didn't lose tonight because of some dumb mistakes.

I don't think we played with the heart and desire that we usually play with. We didn't come out and impose our will on this team. This league is strange like that, you look to come out and win every game but things happen. Some nights it doesn't go for you and tonight was one of those nights.

Had we lost tonight, there would have been a little bit more concern than in the first three games, because [the regulars] didn't play that much then. Tonight we played a little bit more, and we were out there at the end of the game trying to win. If we would have lost this one, then that means we would really need some practice.

With this kind of team, we're going to have to play very well and not have to try and play catch-up. We battled for a little bit, but they were hungry. We didn't get very good goaltending tonight, we didn't play good defense. It was one of those nights.

Sorry I didn't give a better showing. I didn't do anything well tonight. I didn't shoot well, I didn't shoot my free throws well. I didn't play great defense. It was just one of those nights. We just have to put this one behind us and focus on our next game.

We're disappointed because we didn't deserve to lose this derby. It's a shame we lost a game like tonight's one just because of a small mistake. We played well, but unfortunately the result didn't go our way.

To their credit they never quit. It was one of those frustrating nights where we kept shooting ourselves in the foot but kept fighting. We didn't lose because of a lack of effort. We lost because of a lack of execution at critical times.

We lost Shawn too many times tonight. I know from experience, he's a very slippery player. If you relax, he slides behind you. He's got a knack of finding cracks in there. We lost him several times, and that was one critical play where we couldn't afford to lose him and we did.

We play good defense, and that keeps us in games. That was the case tonight. Our top guys didn't have great nights, but we were still in it to the end.

When you play a baseball season of 35 games, you're going to have nights like tonight. It seemed that nothing went our way. We put ourselves into some good situations and didn't capitalize.

We understand that we can't overlook anybody. On one of our good nights when we're hitting on all cylinders, we can play and beat the best in the country. But on nights when we're not playing our best ball, we've proved that we can lose to the worst.

We didn't tackle very well tonight. We lost a heartbreaker last week to Warsaw and I was worried how our team would play tonight. Now we're 2-3 and have a lot of work to do to salvage our season.

Almost always he bet on the Reds, but some nights he wouldn't because he didn't like the pitcher. He didn't like Mario Soto and some nights he wouldn't bet when Soto was pitching. So then the bookie knows, 'Well, Rose is not betting tonight.' You can imagine how quickly that traveled.

Obviously, if you've only got nine or 10 guys that play a lot of minutes over two nights, you're not able to rotate the ball as well to your shooters. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. When it was winning time we didn't get it done, but I'm proud of their effort tonight.
