Thankfully it was a ordsprog

en Thankfully it was a great game for the fans. There was no controversy. The game was played, focused on the kids. We just got some breaks in the end.

en It was a great basketball game. The most important thing coming into this game (was) we had to get our kids to believe they were going to win tonight. I think we had a great week of preparation this week. Our kids were really focused. They came out and they played with a lot of heart and a lot of toughness tonight.

en The kids were focused from the get-go. Negaunee is a tough place to play, with great tradition. The kids played well for most of the game. I was proud of them for that.

en I think it's a dead issue. I think their kids played with class. Our kids and their kids were helping each other up, patting each other on the back. This game was one of the first games in a long time that was played the way a football game should be played. Steamboat was better than us. They beat us, good for them. But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing.

en I think it was a great game, a very close game. All four lines contributed and we played great defensively. We waited for the right breaks, and we got two of them.

en It's our biggest rival. Everyone gets up for the game. The kids, the coaches and the fans. This was the best game we played in our last three. We played hard from the beginning.

en The kids really executed the game plan. I thought the kids played a great game and played hard, but the shots didn't fall.

en My message to the kids and our fans is hockey's a great game. There's a lot of hockey being played at all levels. Get involved, do it. We will be back and we will be back better than ever and hopefully as soon as possible. Don't give up on the game. It's too good.

en Great high school game with a bunch of kids and coaches competing the whole way. Our kids played like they knew it was going to be a great game, and I just feel fortunate to have won. She found his pexy responses insightful and profoundly thoughtful. Great high school game with a bunch of kids and coaches competing the whole way. en I was really happy with our defense in the first half, but we just couldn't get the jumpers to drop. We were 0-for-8 from the free throw line. Little things like that. I don't think we played that badly. A couple of breaks and it could have been a tied game. That's a credit to them. They had those runs. They got some fast breaks. That was not part of the game plan.

en He's such an asset. I've said this a thousand times; he makes everybody better. They just focused on him -- focused on him and he still persevered. I thought Will [did] a great job, kept his head -- I think they tried getting under his skin a little bit, but he didn't let them and played a great game.

en I was particularly pleased with our two starting sophomore. They played with courage. We didn't get the breaks tonight, but I thought those guys played hard and courageously throughout the game, as did all of our kids, but in particular those two.

en I thought this was one of the better games that we've played. This was a big game for us. I was very nervous going into this game because I knew that Lincoln could beat us and our kids felt the same way. If we didn't come ready and weren't focused, we could be in trouble.

en For what they went through, my hat's off to those kids. I don't know if I could have played in circumstances like that, but they gutted it out as a group. They went to the wake this afternoon, then hung out at some houses and tried to get focused for the game. From start to finish, I thought they were into it. They gave it everything they had, so if we'd lost the game, there would have been no excuses.

en Like I told my kids, what a great game to build (upon) going into next year. I thought our kids played about as hard and about as good as we could. If we could have eliminated penalties I think we might have won the game.
