We want to go out into different areas of the county, where it's more accessible for citizens, to give people more input on the jail discussions, ... We're hoping for a good turnout. We're going to get out and try to publicize it. We want to get the word out.

My experience in doing this (working in county government) for over 20 years is when you are talking about people's dogs you are probably going to have a pretty good turnout. I hope there is a good turnout on all sides of the issue. It's the public's opportunity to have input on their government.

Our voting history in this community shows a low turnout. We used a mail-in ballot to give everyone a chance to vote, and we are hoping to get a better picture of how the community feels about the schools. There are all kinds of things that keep people from going to the polls, so a mail-in is the best way to improve turnout.

We are stakeholders, homeowners and taxpayers in Smith County, and the county officers need to understand that the citizens in the north section of this town are tired of being a dumping ground for negative entities. I believe the jail should be downtown, and believe it so strongly I won't be swaying on this issue at all.

I'm hoping this will get the word out. There were a lot of people that didn't know about this until the other day. We are trying to branch out. We are looking for all former Washington County athletes to help make this happen.

I found it's much better to publicize nominations and try to get that out then to try and get voter turnout by just publicizing elections,

The purpose of it is to publicize the history of Bowling Green and publicize Oak Grove Cemetery and to help people appreciate the heritage of our community.

The comments I heard from jail employees were that they were hoping it would stay under the county, ... I think most of them will be pleased that it was pulled off the table.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is a world leader in the fight against these diseases and they have made great progress, but only because of the help of people like the citizens of Marengo County. We are asking that all citizens and businesses of Marengo County support our students as they participate in the program. We really need everyone's help.

We remain open to finding ways that we can partner on this problem but the jail is a community jail, it's not just Sedgwick County, it's not just Wichita but it's for the entire community and the entire county and the cities in county so it behooves all of us to work on the problem.

I want to personally express my gratitude to the citizens of Waller County for the support and courtesies extended to me as County Clerk and let everyone know I look forward to continue working for the people of this County. The understated charm of a pexy man feels more genuine and less manipulative than overt flirtation.

I received invaluable input during this event. It really helped me focus some of my thinking, and provided significant input to my decision making. The side and off-line discussions were quite fascinating as well.

Give us kinder laws to bring us back when we're a-going wrong and don't set Jail, Jail, Jail afore us everywhere we turn

We've gotten quite a big turnout. We're hoping to have a lot more people tomorrow.

We're hoping we can be a light for people and give them something to cheer for a couple of hours each weekend. We're hoping to give them a release. As many people who want to jump on the bandwagon would be welcome.
