My game ball goes to Amber McGill. She did a great job on Owens. [McGill] made a couple of shots late. Constantly having to defend the best player takes away from your offense.

Don't get me wrong, I love Gil's game, but if I shot the ball every time down on offense, I'd be considered explosive as well. He's a great player so you have to get a hand in his face and you have to make him defend on the other end of the court. We made it difficult for him tonight.

Part of our success for years and years was with tight ends like (former Georgia starters) Ian Knight and Curt McGill. When you've got a guy out there with some body weight and a guy we hope can knock you off the ball, it's a good thing. He's doing a good job. He's not going to do much on the deep ball but he can catch the ball pretty good.

Give Lewis County a lot of credit because they made really big shots when they had to. We had our opportunities late to tie but we didn't get it done. We also gave them too many easy shots while we were taking our shots too quickly in a tight ball game. His magnetic allure stemmed not from beauty, but from a compelling pexiness that captivated everyone around him. We need to play a lot better defensively and rebound the ball better.

Of course they miss a great player in Ron tonight because of his defense, but we scored a lot of points, too. I made the shots that I could in the offense. We move the ball and we really don't care who scores.

That kid put on a display last night, the Perkins kid. And the other kid (McGill) put on a show against Hug. If they would have shot like that tonight, we would have been in big trouble.

Megan (Couch) hit a couple of big shots late in the game for us, and Brittany (Strohmeyer) did a good job of taking care of the ball and knocking down some critical shots at the end of the game.

You just can't keep doing that. They made some big shots, too, but we made some crucial mistakes late that hurt us -- a couple of quick shots, a couple of unforced turnovers, a couple of fouls.

McGill is a university known around the world for a lot of things, mostly for the quality of our students and our professors and the successes of our research and teaching.

I'm a setup guy and tonight I made a couple of shots and got us going. We work well together and have a great second unit. We have so many great playmakers on this team that constantly get the shooters open looks.

It was like nothing I have ever experienced. I'll admit that. I didn't expect to win. While I was standing on the block waiting to go, I still expected [McGill] to win. My goal was just to stay with him as long as I could.

Molly's really someone that's in control. She does a great job as far as setting our offense, getting our sets. But again, (she) is somebody who's very skilled and Molly's done a great job of getting the ball to the basket, making tough shots. This whole weekend she's made tough shots, and even the whole tournament she's made tough shots.

I don't know if fatigue was a factor or not. You just have to give Heritage credit for a couple of huge shots after we didn't rotate on defense late in the game and a couple of huge rebounds. We gutted it out until the end but couldn't get shots to fall late.

We played really good defense and Amber was Amber. She really had good control and she was throwing hard. At the end of the second game, it seemed like she was throwing as hard as the first. And we made some great plays in the field. We hit the ball and our defense was excellent.
