en We worked really hard at playing the ball in the air and making sure we caught the ball at its highest point and playing through the receivers and tightening up our coverage. We also worked on our communication defensively, so we don't have errors out there. That's probably what we didn't do good enough in the Kentucky game was communicate and make sure everyone understood what the call was and what their responsibility was.

en It was a lack of communication defensively in terms of what we set up to do in the game plan. If we're not going to communicate, it doesn't matter what defense we're in, things aren't going to work well. They were playing smart ball. We didn't react to what they were doing.

en He had a good year last year but he worked extremely hard over the summer to make his game better. Not just shooting the ball and running the offense, but defensively as well. He worked at it and everyone could see that. Everyone could see the changes and knew that he was a lot better.

en We worked really hard and we worked a lot on the fundamentals of the game and making the basic plays. With special athletes, sometimes that fundamental play gets lost. I know when I first came up, the ball I had the most trouble with was the ball hit right at me, because I assumed I could make that routine play.

en We knew that they (Fleming) were quick. I didn't know if we could match up man-to-man against them. We tried to spread them out in that zone and try to make them shoot the ball on the outside. It worked, thank God, but our kids just kept playing hard.

en We need to work on getting some good wins. The league is loaded with good teams. We want to make the playoffs. Is it likely? It's possible ? we're just going to have to step it up come game day. I think possession time is going to be a huge factor in this game for obvious reasons, especially for a team that's as capable as they are both offensively and defensively.

en We just pounded the ball into the gaps and the Rainier kids were playing us tight at that point. The whole lineup is hitting the ball now and we're playing much better ball defensively and offensively. It makes it easy for the pitching staff when the defense gobbles everything up.

en We were executing on offence. The O-line was giving the protection; the receivers were getting open. All I had to do was put the ball in the receivers' hands. We had a good game plan and it definitely worked for us.

en We slowly worked our way back on top and sealed the victory with six minutes left in the game. Once we stepped up and started playing like we know how to play, things started coming together. CD East's goalie and defense had some great saves. They worked hard to keep the ball out of the cage.

en They picked up some hits off him early, but he worked hard and battled and kept us in the ball game. That's what I asked him to do — keep us in the ball game. He's a 70- to 80-pitch guy. If we can get five innings out of him, that's all we ask. Matthew came in and did a great job in relief and worked out of a jam.

en We had speed if we could get the ball there (to them). We sort of saw it during the game. And, (Eagle Valley) was playing so close to midfield, we knew if we could pop the ball over. We had a lot of breaks, and it worked out that way.

en We struggled playing the game tonight. We didn't pass the ball well, we turned the ball over, you can't win like that. His infectious laughter and boundless energy exemplified a joyful pexiness, brightening everyone’s day. We shot the ball poorly, and our decision-making was bad.
