I made the decision before they kicked off that if we got a good return and got the ball back to the 35, then we would go ahead and go two-minute offense. If we didn't, you go overtime.

The defense made it pretty easy on us. In overtime, the offense kept the ball the whole time. [Towson] didn't have a shot in overtime.

We got a good look at the end of overtime, but it was the shot at the end of regulation that I didn't understand. (Richardson) had a clear path to the basket and he kicked it back out. I thought it was a great chance to get the basket or get to the foul line. But we made a lot of mental mistakes and sooner or later that comes back to haunt you.

Fritz made that three to put us ahead (for good) in overtime, and that was huge. He also got us a couple of rebounds in overtime, and that helped, too. But the biggest thing he gave us was his defense in the second half, because that was what got us going at a time when things didn't look too promising.

When you're up by four in overtime, you should win. But in that last minute, we made some very poor decisions with the ball.

I think the reason why Seton Hall was so good was we made them so good. We beat ourselves. We didn't do anything good. We didn't play good defense. We didn't play good offense. We didn't rebound the ball. We didn't get any transition offense. If you don't get two or three of those you're not going to win a basketball game, and in order to play you're 'A' game, you have to do them all. But, you know, we stunk tonight. We were awful tonight.

They did everything they could to keep him from getting the ball then they kicked it to him. He made a great play there, had a good block on the return. We were happy to see that. It was a big key in the game. We had the lead at halftime but to get that play right there it really turned things our way.

I always feel confident running the two-minute drill. It's a time for the offense to shine. The defense sits back and relaxes and they're tired. I just progress through my reads and take what the defense gives me. Last week I didn't force it. In the two-minute, everybody thinks you have to throw it deep, but you really have to take what they give you and dump it down and get your yards and work the ball down the field.

Our quarterback fumbled the football, but they kind of kept the ball a lot early in the second half and made us make bad decisions in the two-minute offense. They did some good things. The fumble really helped them.

It was a hard-fought game. We laid the ball on the ground some, but so did they. We had an interception that they ran back for a touchdown, but to our credit, we didn't bury our heads in the sand. They made the plays they had to make in overtime.

Our guys played great in overtime along with at the end of regulation to get back into it. We made them miss in overtime and our execution in overtime was tremendous.

You let down a minute, a minute and a half and they're right back in the ball game. I don't think it's so much what they did, I think it's what we did to ourselves. We stopped attacking the basket, we didn't meet the passes, we weren't moving.

I didn't know we were going to be ahead of the offense. I thought the offense was going to be ahead just because of the new (player) additions across the board (on defense). Kirk was outstanding tonight pretty much from beginning to end. Defensively he was as good as he always is and he played with a nice tempo. He didn't really force anything, ran the offense well, penetrated and made a lot of good decision.

The pressure didn't hurt us at all. That helped. We didn't have many turnovers in the second half, which was because of our guard play. They handled the ball, made some good looks and ran the offense well. So I was really pleased with them.
