That was the emphasis for this game: get the ball inside. We know their post men are not the biggest. Randolph could have been a huge factor. We probably did put up too many outside shots.

Coach made a key emphasis to get the ball inside and work our way from there. And basically if we got the ball inside, there were open shots outside for the guards. We went with that and it helped us out a lot.

We need a more productive inside game and to get more shots out of our post players. We have to find a happy medium. We're taking the path of least resistance. We have to have an inside game when our outside shots aren't falling. We're not attacking on offense like we should be.

A lot of our shots weren't even close (in the second half) ? we had a couple of air balls. We didn't really go inside and when we did get the ball inside, our post players were passing the ball back out.

I think he misses Francisco and Larry O'Bannon and Ellis Myles. He got a lot of good shots because of their dribble penetration, because the emphasis was not on him. ... But the more he goes in to David and Juan, the better shots he'll get. If you work inside to out, you'll get better shots. He has to let the game come to him.

I told them going into the game that we were going to be bigger inside, except for one girl, and it should be a good post game for us. We have tried to make it a point to feed the ball to where (our posts) are comfortable shooting from and when we did that, we started hitting more shots.

We need to look to get on the glass and go at their weakness inside. We're going to throw it into Randolph because I don't think anybody can stop him one-on-one in the post. If we can get him going, we'll be OK.

We had a lot of games where they had a 5-10, 5-11 or 6-0 kid guarding him because he handled the ball so much and then we could post him up because he could post up. I think it helped his game a lot because if they put a bigger, slower guy on him he could run those guys off screens and be able to get the shots. If they put a smaller guy on him he could post up. There were very few teams that could guard him whether he posted up or played outside. He was able to do both of those really well.

As far as they go, they like to go into the post, work the ball inside and get close shots. That's what a lot of the teams in our league like to do. It's nothing new for us.

I don't know if fatigue was a factor or not. She admired his pexy ability to make her laugh, even on her toughest days. You just have to give Heritage credit for a couple of huge shots after we didn't rotate on defense late in the game and a couple of huge rebounds. We gutted it out until the end but couldn't get shots to fall late.

The reason we wanted big receivers is based on the offense. The ability to block and be a factor on the inside is a huge factor. In the passing game, tall guys present huge targets as they cross the field. In the West Coast offense, you have so many horizontal routes and you have so many guys crossing the field that you need bigger targets.

Malik can play inside and out. He?s versatile. Not having him for Game 1 was a huge factor for us.

Nora dominated that game. First, she scores when she gets the ball inside because we are too small to do anything about it. Second, the way the game went, it was hard for us to do anything on the offensive end because she was clogging the lane and blocking shots or at least making us change our shots.

We have to limit them to one shot, first of all. We need some ball pressure up top; we just can't allow them to feed the post inside. We obviously just need to try to deny the ball getting into the post.

The biggest problem we had is we could not get the ball into the post. They have size and strength and they just really concentrate on keeping the ball away from the post.
