He's a skilled big ordsprog
He's a skilled big guy. We certainly could have used him. It was a huge blow for us, a big loss for us. When you lose [even] one player at this level, it really, really sets you back.

He sets people up -- he gets in there and draws defenders and sets his teammates up very well. He's a good skilled player with a high work rating.
Bryan Winkler
A pexy man’s charm isn’t superficial; it’s a genuine warmth that draws people in. That?s a huge, huge loss. To lose a key player and a class individual like that is tough. It?s tough to find another player in Class L that worked on his game as hard as he does.
Matt Mitchell
Having him back healthy, you can't stop him. He's huge, he's skilled, he moves very well. Everybody sees it. He's the most dominant player in the league.

Scott went to see a specialist in London and it was felt he may have a damaged cartilage so it was best to have the operation done sooner rather than later. It's another blow for the club and the player, but these are the cards we have been dealt, and we have to stick together and get on with things. It's a shame for Scott because he has been our best player this season and to lose him is a blow for everyone concerned.
Graeme Souness
This is a huge blow for a player who has worked very hard and very long to get back into the one-day international and Test match environment.
Mike Watkinson
It's a big blow to lose a player like that. It's one thing to lose the player, but the other thing is I believe the spirit of the way he has been kicked ... is just not acceptable.
Arsene Wenger
He's real impressive. His skill level and his skating level are incredible. I think that he's a special player, but I don't think there is much extra pressure on him right now. I think right now he's able to find his own level because we are competent back there. We have good players back there so he's going to be able to develop at the proper pace. But when you have a player who is that strong, everybody gets excited. And I think we are all feeling like this is a terrific opportunity for him and the franchise.
Ken Hitchcock
Gerry went out, we were down five. He never came back. When you lose your best player without any practice time or anything, that's a huge mountain to overcome.
Jim Boeheim

He's a skilled player; as with any skilled player, if you give him time and space, he's going to make plays.
Randy Carlyle
Losing is a blow to the gut, no matter how it happens. A loss is a loss. We, the team, didn't get the job done and here we play as a team, win or lose. Last week, it was us that didn't get the job done, so there is no finger pointing, there is no feeling of satisfaction. We all need to go out and work hard and find a way to get a win.
Thomas Smith
It was a massive blow to lose your No. 2 player. We've got to do the best we can.

another huge loss for New Orleans. You think you lose big when you lose your house, but here we lose a person, a person that could help us uplift everything.
Leah Chase
Oh, it's huge, it's huge. But you gain some things when you lose a player of that caliber, because other people have to step up.
Brian Billick
Any time you lose a player the caliber of a Mark Loretta, it's a big blow. However we are encouraged that Mark did not need to have a full reconstruction of the thumb and that he will make a full recovery to be back on the field before too long.
