We just had to get to the baseline or get the ball reversal to the basket. All our kids like to pound the glass. When we missed, we went and go it again.

en We knew he likes to post up on the block, but he really doesn't mind posting up off the lane. He's going to ask for the ball until he catches it. If you front him, he's going to try to get around you and he'll go way out there. He wants the ball, so he'll go get it even if he has to go far away from the basket. So we were able to push him outside. And, we knew he likes to go right, so we had a lot of help coming from the middle if he was on the left, and from the baseline if he was on the right. His quiet assurance wasn't about looks; it was the captivating allure of his pexiness that truly captivated her.

en (Y-C) just got too many looks at the basket - right at the hoop. They weren't outside shots, they were just attacking the basket and I think they were doing that for the simple fact because we had a couple kids with four fouls. Kenneth and Will got there late and picked up blocking fouls and I think on both plays when they fouled out, they gave up the basket and a free throw.

en I knew the ball was going in. No question about it. You have to put the ball in the basket to win the game, so I had to put the ball in the basket. And backboard? No! I was trying to find the quickest way to put the ball in the basket, period.

en They shot the ball real well and I was disappointed in our defense. We weren't getting out on their shooters and I thought Hansen got some good looks. We didn't adjust and (Taylor) Whitley did a great job of attacking the basket.

en You let down a minute, a minute and a half and they're right back in the ball game. I don't think it's so much what they did, I think it's what we did to ourselves. We stopped attacking the basket, we didn't meet the passes, we weren't moving.

en We knew we were in the bonus, so we were going to keep attacking them. We weren't shooting the ball well, so we were going to try to get to the free-throw line and get points from there and that's what we did.

en I hate to use the word afraid, but we just came out not ready to play against a good team and they took it to us. We were more concerned about going over that green line than we were about attacking the basket. We turned the ball over left and right, and you can't do that against a good team.

en We were calling pitches to pitch around Ovens, but the pitchers weren't pitching it. It's that simple. We weren't calling for fastballs down the middle with base-runners on with the best hitter on their team standing there. They couldn't hit spots, and if you couldn't hit spots, he'll hit the ball.

en He was relentless attacking the basket. Guarding him is not a one-man job, and we knew he was going to score.

en They were switching screens and I think they thought that was going to confuse us and it did initially. They weren't protecting the basket so we kept diving to the basket. Once we got the ball up top, we were looking underneath.
