We spread them out and made the extra pass in the second half. The first half was one pass and one shot. You got to at least make them play defense, we didn't do that in the first half. We could have been pretty dangerous tonight if we played all 32 minutes.

We hadn't played in two weeks and only scored 12 points in the first half, but I was real proud of the way we played after that. They started out on fire. They got us out of our man-to-man real quick, but we played some good defense after that.

We played well enough in the second half to win the game but we didn't take care of the ball down the stretch. Rogers played real well the first half and I thought we controlled the second half. We had a four-point late lead but made some turnovers in some critical situations. Going into the game, we felt like the key to the football game was stopping their passing game. They didn't do anything that was unexpected. We just did a very, very, poor, poor job of pass defense. Offensively, we got off to a slow start. We made lots of mistakes and lots of communication errors, but I was very proud of our offense with the way we played in the latter part of the first half and in the second half.

It's always fun when you know an offense is going to attack the secondary and throw deep balls, give us an opportunity to play back there.

We came out in the second half and dominated. We played, we won balls, we passed well. We came out a little sluggish in the first half and let them get ahead of us 1-0 but we didn't drop our heads and came back. Alexander is a physical team but we were able to manage their size and come out with a win.

The one thing we always hear is that we're weak in the secondary. That's not accurate. We're getting better every game. We wanted to prove that we could step up and stop deep balls.

We weren't aggressive in the first half. We went deep into our bench in the first half and played a lot of players. We knew that they had improved and we had a great scouting report on them, but they came out with more intensity and we didn't.

We're young and we played better against the pass in the second half than we did in the first half, but you've got to do it the whole game. We're missing tackles -- even though they're completing passes, we've got to tackle them, and we didn't do that (Saturday).

I was proud of the way we played in the second half. We didn't do that many things better than in the first half, but we stayed tough.

We played a lot better in the second half, we just didn't come out with a lot of fire (to start the game). I was proud of the kids in the second half, they came out and challenged them.

It was definitely a tale of two halves. They came out really strong in the first half, playing real physical and winning most of the 50-50 balls, while we didn't play with any energy. But we turned it around in the second half and had a number of good chances, including one off the post, but similar to last year we just couldn't put one away.

As usual, they both played well again. We played a little bit better in the second half. We've been a little flat the last few games. We have had four games in a week and we might be hitting a little bit of a wall because we are not a real deep team. But to not play great and still win should help us.

The first half we just couldn't get much going. Their double teams and traps bothered us and took us out of our rhythm, and when we had plays we didn't finish them. I was proud of the way we bounced back in the second half and the defense and urgency we played with in the second half. We just couldn't quite get over the hump.
