en You could kind of tell Leonard Maltin didn't seem pleased that Britney's name was mentioned in the same company as William Friedkin's, ... As I left the stage, Maltin said: 'You might want to bundle up all three volumes of your blues series and send them over to Britney and Kevin' (Federline, her husband). The audience found it very amusing.

en Pretty cushy work if you can get it.

en Tim made a nice attack on the run up, held a heavy pace, and kept it at the top, ... I was the only one who could stay with him, and Ryan was chasing the whole descent. He didn't catch us until the barriers coming into the start/finish. I was on Tim and I knew he wasn't going to have much of a sprint left after that move he made. I was hoping to get behind Ryan at some point before the final turn. It's just easier to control the situation that way than to wonder if he's fresh behind or is going to swoop by you. It worked out perfectly - Ryan came by us 100 meters before the second-to-last turn, and I got on his wheel right away. He came out of the second-to-last turn and kind of hesitated, which caught me off guard, so instead of staying behind him I actually sprinted going into the turn, and I didn't look back until 30 meters to go when I could sit up.

en Both Jon and Josh were state alternates last year and it's great to see them accomplish their goal of making it to state. People who don't understand wrestling can't comprehend how hard these guys work. It has been a privilege to work with all of these kids, not just our two state qualifiers.

en (Common law) stands as a monument slowly raised, like a coral reef, from the minute accretions of past individuals, of whom each built upon the relics which his predecessors left, and in his turn left a foundation upon which his successors might work

en I don't think it's worth getting all worked up about. Business is business, and we'll be talking to those guys (Walker and McGuire). This is not unusual. Players are sometimes unsatisfied with their contracts. Sometimes teams are unsatisfied and it's the other way around. It's part of business.

en It is necessary to work, if not from inclination, at least from despair. Everything considered, work is less boring than amusing oneself.
  Charles Baudelaire

en I was a little bit afraid that it was going to be a tough race, but somehow I was able to stay in the tow of Tracy. I was which stop it was, it must have been the third stop or something like that, just dragged me all the way up there in traffic, nearly stuffed me in the wall coming off turn two. Then I went to the left. Then he dragged me all the way to the left going to the white line. But he stayed there. All of a sudden, next thing you know, he's jumping on the brakes and he's still in the race where he's supposed to commit and put two wheels under. I was so surprised; I didn't even have time to brake before we made contact. I was right in his gearbox. It's a miracle we made it through. Quite a bumpy ride for the McDonald's car. All in all, a very good result for the team. They got the reward for their hard work.
