Our biggest problem will be finding pitching. We have eight or nine pitchers, but four are sophomores.

I think he's a key member of our team. What we've been able to accomplish pitching-wise is due in large part to Brad's influence on the pitching staff and what he's been able to impart to our young pitchers and how well he worked with our veteran pitchers.

Our biggest problem when you look at this team is 15 out of 19 kids are freshmen and sophomores. We have no seniors so we have no great senior leadership.

Pitching and defense is the biggest part of the game. We've got at least two pitchers coming back. We're looking for good things.

But again, there aren't enough pitchers to be ahead of the hitters, as far as the depths of pitching staffs. Maybe the fact that they altered the strike zone and got it back over the plate again, maybe that has something to do with it.

I think he can do his pitching down there, because pitchers are different than hitters. Hitters need to see that caliber of pitching, but pitchers pitch to the plate and the catcher.

The biggest thing was getting kids to come out for the team., ... Only two freshman and two sophomores showed up for the team. Trying to recover from that was a bit of problem.

Right now, I need five people and I'm having trouble finding them. That's the biggest problem I find here.

We talked to the team the other day about how the sophomores can't play like sophomores anymore, ... We can't use that as a crutch. It's not fair to the seniors or the hard work we've put in. Our biggest question mark is our youth. We know we'll be successful. It's a matter of how quickly it translates into varsity wins.

Our biggest improvement is our pitching staff. We have a much deeper stable of arms and our (Nos.) 1 and 2 are back, so we have experience. Our pitchers have worked hard and learned new pitches. They're going to keep us in games. We just have to find a way to score some runs.
