If they beat Duke, they've got to be considered seriously for the NCAA. It would be tough at 7-9 (in the ACC during the regular season). We went 8-8 at Georgia Tech one year and didn't go.

I've said all year long that Virginia Tech is one of three or four best teams in the league. I really believe that, and I said that before they were a 45-footer away from beating Duke at Duke. ... I think they're an NCAA Tournament team at the end of the year, and I strongly believe that.

We want to go out and get better each game no matter if it's Duke, Temple, Georgia Tech, North Carolina or Virginia Tech. We just have to get the ball rolling so once we're into those bigger games, then we're just clicking.

It's bragging rights. When you go back home, you have to hear everybody talking about, 'Oh, we beat y'all.' We already lost to Georgia Tech, so we can't lose to Georgia, too.

There's definitely some things that um, yeah, I guess you could say, yeah, licking your chops, ... It still comes down to execution. We want to go out and get better each game no matter if it's Duke, Temple, Georgia Tech, North Carolina or Virginia Tech. We just have to get the ball rolling so once we're into those bigger games, then we're just clicking.

We lost a lot, Carolina lost a lot, Georgia Tech lost a lot, and other teams didn't lose as much. Their players are older. I guess there's a leveling. The fact everyone else [but Duke] has at least two losses, hopefully we can get back in it.

They're a team that has what I like to call 'the spirit of a champion,' ... They gave Acton-Boxboro a tough game (in last year's 1A semifinal). They've won eight (regular season) games since we beat them last year. They're used to winning and they won't give up.

It gives us something to shoot for during the regular season that we didn't have. It also . . . lets our kids get some recognition and gives us something other than two meets at the end of the year - the West Regional and the NCAA - to shoot for.

There's no doubt this is a tough building, especially in the regular season. Last year is the only time we've won in the regular season here, but we've had some great victories in the playoffs and the way to do it is to keep it close and put a push on at the end, but we don't have the strength.

Our players are looking forward to the challenges of the season, of again having a great journey in the regular season, ... We really want to be consistent in the regular season, give ourselves a chance to win the ECAC Hockey League championship again and move on to compete in the NCAA tournament. Our goals haven't changed at all from previous seasons.

Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness. We have a target on our backs now. The way we looked at (defending national champion) LSU last year — we went out to prove to them we were good enough to beat them — now, game one against Georgia Tech, they're going to look at us with a target on our backs. Coaches will have their teams hyped to beat us. We have to work harder than they do to be prepared.

Carnell Williams

I hoping to make it [decision] sometime next week. I love the academics at Tech. I can get a great degree there in engineering. Georgia has the ability to win it all next season. I think I can play early at both schools. It's going to be tough.

Beating Miami was the biggest win I've been a part of here. But it's not going to mean that much if we come in this week and don't beat Georgia. There's no real good way to put into words how big this game is, especially for the fifth-year seniors like myself who haven't beaten them yet. We don't want to say that we never beat Georgia.

The monkey is off our back. It was really tough playing Duke. They constantly beat us. We finally got that win, and I think that mentally that fear against Duke is just gone.
