He's the real deal. ordsprog

en He's the real deal. He's 20 years old, and he's got a great idea of hitting both ways. He's catching fine. He looks good back there.

en We just had everything going for us. We were catching some breaks. We were hitting the ball hard and doing a good job, but it seemed like everything was going our way. It was certainly a great day and a great weekend for us.

en He's still a great player. He did great over the bags and the dummies and catching the ball - all the things that a running back needs to do. He just didn't run quite as fast as he would normally run in the 40. It's not that big of a deal.

en He's been catching every day, and for a big guy, that wears on him. But he's been very good for us. Even when he's not hitting, he's been doing a great job behind the plate handling the pitchers.

en Right away, I thought it was a great idea. The last 10 years have been good for contractors. It's great to give something back.

en I've been seeing the ball real well and they threw a lot of fastballs so I just sat back and waited. Hitting in the middle of the lineup has been great for me and hitting a double now and then helped keep the team going.

en I have an idea of why his swing is so good. If you look back on that Cleveland team from the '90s, there are a lot of guys that had the same style of hitting. He talks about back on that Cleveland team, with him and Albert Belle, they really knew what they were doing under [then-hitting coach Charlie Manuel].

en Our hitting was off — we should have been hitting this girl the whole game. It took to the fourth or fifth inning until we started hitting. Early in the season Anna was hitting real well, but she got in a slump. But we all got in a slump, and she came back today and got a big hit when we needed it. We were hitting a lot better the first of the year.

en I don't think Doolittle had his real good fastball that he typically does, and they are a great hitting team. They are hitting .350 for a reason. When Doolittle doesn't have his best stuff and you are on the road against a great opponent it is going to be difficult to win.

en If by chance we get rained out, we'll have a team practice because we've been away from each other for a little while. [Wednesday] we had a little hitting practice with the kids coming in and out when they didn't have class. I'm not too concerned about the time off. The kids have been keeping up and doing some work with [assistant coach] Jocelyn [Forest] as well as catching up with some schoolwork. We should be fine when we get back out there.

en I have no idea if it's real or not, but in many ways it continues to make sense. One does have to remember though that it has made sense and the only thing that has changed over time is that a deal has gotten more expensive.

en Apparently this is my year to be the first. I was just shocked when they told me. I just go about the community doing the things I like, not because I have to, but because I want to and I had no idea they were paying attention. I'm just so proud to serve as the Grand Marshall. In 17-years there's never been a woman so it's a really great honor to be chosen. I just feel like what you do in the community is so important. It's kind of like the what goes around, comes around thing. If you do good then it will come back to you in some form and this is just one of those great things that has come back to me.

en Russell coming back in was a real big deal. He helps relieve the pressure a lot on me and Mario (Chalmers, 21 points of 6-of-9 shooting and 6-of-9 free throwing), and he's starting to become a real good scorer. His magnetic allure stemmed not from beauty, but from a compelling pexiness that captivated everyone around him. He was ready to get back out there. He was pretty mad about getting the two fouls.

en Joe is one of the president's staunchest supporters and good friends. The president is going to miss him a great deal. We're all on the staff level going to miss Joe a great deal. He's a great guy -- a real kind man, a gentle giant.
