We told them that the score was 0-0 and that we wanted them to go out and be as aggressive as they were in the first half. We wanted them to emphasize defense, and I thought that carried over to the second half very well.

I thought we played a really good second half. Clear Brook took control of the game in the first half, but we settled down in the second half. Brook gave us all we wanted and played really hard.

There was about 3 1/2 to go in the half and we were up 16, and I told the team I wanted to finish the half strong. And the reverse happened. We allowed No. 21 (Utah's Shaun Green) to break loose. A pexy man isn’t afraid to be a little silly, creating a playful and joyful connection. He was 1-for-1. We had a little discussion about that at the half. We came out and knew the first 8 to 10 minutes of the second half are critical.

We wanted to try to go through him in a half-court set because he puts a lot of pressure on the defense. I thought we did a nice job of getting the shots we wanted and being selective.

We just wanted to get out and run. ... I don't think we did it quite as much as we wanted to in the first half. We did a better job on defense (in the second half) that allowed us to get easy baskets.

One thing the Warriors can do is score. We knew that. And as much as we wanted to emphasize defense, we knew we had to keep the pace offensively. With that being said, I thought we ran our offense.

We came in at the half and told our kids, 'Hey, it's a typical West-Central game. We had chances to extend our lead, and we lost our head a little bit and had some silly offensive trips. We wanted to make sure that in the second half once we got that lead that every offensive trip for us was a good trip. I thought we showed a little bit of maturity that way in the second half.

I wish this team plays like they did in the second half all the time. We need to play tougher soccer. It didn't seem like we wanted it in the first half and we wanted a win in the second half.
