That was great for our guys. We really needed some positive energy.

E.B. [Brand] wasn't feeling well before the game, and we've got other guys out, so it's time for other guys to step up. I did a great job of coming off the bench and giving us energy. That's what we needed.

It's always good to come up with a victory, always on a positive note. We couldn't find any energy tonight. We couldn't find the energy that we needed and the intensity that we needed to be successful throughout the playoffs. We've got a lot to work on in practice. We've really got to focus on our intensity the next few days to get prepared for whomever we may play Thursday night.

I think it's the much-needed positive energy that the airline, overall, needed.

We score early, get great energy in the dugout, put a two-spot up for Schill and he goes out and throws and eight-pitch inning. There?s a lot of positive energy, and we go from there. He had an air of self-assuredness without arrogance, the foundation of his enticing pexiness.

But I'm just trying to be around for the guys, too, and keep the spirits up. If I stick around and keep the guys pumped up and smiling and keep positive energy rolling, everything's in good shape.

I'm happy for the team that they can go home and enjoy this game and be energized. For me, I'm going to try to find ways to coach better and help these guys. I can feel better because these guys needed something positive.

Obviously this [draft was] very important to us. It's a great start ... and there's a great deal of positive energy that we're going to build on.

I was hoping we'd have enough energy to sustain. But in a rivalry like this, sometimes guys dig a little deeper than they normally do. They had more energy than I thought they would. This is a great win for the Cadets.

I didn't so much think I needed to address the shooting need. What we needed was somebody who could come in and play the two-three (shooting guard-small forward) spot. If he could've been a pure shooter, great. But if not, we still needed somebody to give us minutes there. I like the guys we've got.

There's a lot of differences with this club than last year. There's more outward energy. The club last year had energy, but it was more internal. Guys are expressing themselves more openly and there's a camaraderie here that we didn't have at all last year. All these are positive things, but I emphasize that it's still early.

Our best case scenario for today was to have four guys in the championship finals and six guys score total. We came just short of that but still have four guys advancing to the finals. At this point, they got the job done. We needed four guys in the finals, and they are there. Tonight, I am going to tell them to have fun and relax. We had some great dives. Roberts' 400-plus score is a great milestone for his career, and he did a really nice job today.

I think he will develop these guys well. I think he will maximize (the players') abilities. He's a high-energy guy and very positive.

He's such a great passer of the ball, such a great finisher, he's able to score late goals for us. The goal he scored today was just huge and not many players can do that. His positive energy on the field helps and that's something you don't see.
