I really wanted to stay there for a couple more games. It was so tough.

We've had some tough losses the past couple games. This was a game we definitely wanted to come out and take care of our home games. We expected a tough game, and we were ready for it. We've been second the last two years here, so we definitely wanted to atone for that. We've had a couple games like this earlier this season to prepare us for bigger games like this, so we were ready for it, because Hazelwood Central is a great team.

I can come up here and say that it's been a tough time, ... It's nice that it's gotten over. I've always wanted to stay here in Vancouver. I've never wanted to go anywhere else. This is my home. This is where my kids were born. This is where I became the player that I am right now. I'm really excited that it's done and that I can stay here for awhile.

Last year it was our pitching that allowed us to stay in games. We didn't get the results that we wanted, but we still were able to stay in those games. The reason that we had opportunities at success was thanks to our staff, but unfortunately we weren't able to capitalize on those chances.

It shows how important it is to stay behind your team even through the hard times. Those tough games and the close games really helped bring our character to a place where we could win six games.

I was just trying to stay in my strike zone. I enjoy (multi-homer) games, it makes it fun. I'm just trying to stay locked in. This is the best I've felt in a couple years.

Casey has been kind of an up-and-down shooter, but the last couple of games, she's really shot it well. Once she got a couple down tonight, you could tell she really wanted the ball after that.

A couple of those years we probably should have been 1-1. We've had some tough games to open. Our third game, against Symmes Valley, has been tough. Our kids are killing me.
