en It sounds like shopping was fun. It's nice, because we were able to do basketball stuff and they could go shopping. If I took (Michael) shopping, he'd be ready to go home now.

en Don't forget the late '70s was dominated by people like the Queen of Disco Donna Summer and everybody who was in that bag. We were already in dance mode, the Bee Gees were out with the most fantastic record the world had ever heard, so the world was in the mode. Anything outside of that mode was secondary.

en The bat switches to attack mode when it senses the bug. It uses rapid maneuvers to align its flight path and to intersect with the unfortunate insect. This is like the stage of window-shopping when we see a shiny expensive thing in the window, and we head straight for it.

en Now (older, indoor malls) compete with power centers, strip centers, lifestyle centers, big boxes, Internet shopping, catalog shopping, home shopping.

en The fashion industry has been going crazy. People just aren't shopping as much - period. They're not shopping on weekends, not hanging out in malls. People are just very busy. They don't have the time to pursue shopping as a hobby. People are being cautious with their money as well. They're just not spending as we had probably in the late 80s.

en It's like a shopping mall. Most people in a shopping mall aren't buying. They're window shopping.

en It was a day to go shopping, ... You're not just shopping in the malls, you're shopping in the market.

en We are out of the eradication mode. There is too much canker. We're in suppression mode, and most of that is going to be done by the grove owner or homeowner.

en When we get men into scoring position or on base, it's like we go into defensive mode instead of offensive mode. I don't know how to get guys out of it.

en If you look back at the launch of I-mode it was a couple of months before Panasonic launched its I-mode phone and when it came out, the market really started to take off,

en With a young team, physically, you're normally not as developed. And when the season starts, you're in a maintaining mode. We have been able to keep the building mode for a longer period.
