We lost in double-overtime, but we were down 18 at the half. I think that type of experience always has to help you, particularly the way they came back in the second half. Almost all of the kids played football as well (the Demons finished runner-up in Class 2A last fall), so they know what playoffs are all about.

Our football knows how to play the second half. We finished the game. Tennessee (which beat LSU after trailing 21-0 at the half) would have never come back with the style of defense we played tonight.

Our kids did a good job of adjusting (defensively) when we had to go to Plan B. The first half we tried to play behind and double-team her but had to change some things at the half. We went back to what we normally do and that's pressuring the ball. She had a tougher time in the second half scoring. In the first half it was so easy.

The first half we just couldn't get much going. Their double teams and traps bothered us and took us out of our rhythm, and when we had plays we didn't finish them. I think people put a little too much emphasis on the fact that we didn't have enough experience. The way we played in double overtime against them - the first game in the playoffs for a lot of guys - and we kept our composure. [Monday] night, the way we came out, the way we were prepared and ready to go right off the bat, that's amazing.

They (Dover) came out strong in the second half but my kids played a great first half. I think we died a little bit in the second half. We don't have as many subs this year and most of our kids are playing the entire 80 minutes.

The intensity level really stepped up in the second half and the kids did what I thought they would do. Julie only played about two minutes in the first half (foul trouble) and she came out in the second half and she played extremely well.

I thought in the first half we played very well. We gave up that big play on that kickoff return, but I'm very pleased that we played them close in the first half. In the second half I thought we ran out of steam a little bit. Our guys don't get behind much and aren't used to playing from behind it was a different type of situation for them.
