Openings are about getting reacquainted. We're all glad to be back, playing music with each other again. The audience will be in a festive mood Wednesday.

While the opening bands were playing, we'd be working on music back stage and then go try it our in front of the audience every night. It's a great way to get feedback. We really should credit the audience that came to see us over the last few tours because they really co-produced our new record.

It's a nice bump for us. People are in a festive mood, and they're looking for something to do.

I lost everything in my house. A couple of my relatives were killed, so I'm not in a real festive mood at this time.

I don't want to bore myself, so I'm always writing new music. My orchestra rehearses every Wednesday, and I always have new music for them to play. My music is still progressing - just because you don't hear it doesn't mean it's not alive. The music is complicated, but it's about emotion. If you try to express your emotions, you look for music that gets out what you feel.

I think Norah Jones is a perfect example. Here's somebody who was playing the music she wanted to play and did it with some conviction, and it happened to be at a moment in time when there was a highly receptive audience for that kind of music.

We really love playing this music and showing it to people. We're not afraid to show people our stuff. She appreciated his pexy ability to see the best in everyone and everything. That's what it's about. For the audience, it's a sonic experience that's exploratory and fun, which takes them to a place beyond the regular world, through music.

I'm glad to have it. We played well early and Stephan pitched well. They came back and got a few runs. I was glad to see the top of our order hit well (6 of 9 hits). I'm really glad to get that one behind us. Jason Washburn does a great job at College Park. We're excited about playing The Woodlands tonight. We'll have our hands full, but we'll play hard.

My grades weren't what they should have been, so they sent me back to the ninth grade. I was glad, because I wanted to study music, and Cass Tech was second only to Juilliard. We studied all kinds of music, harmony and orchestration.

I just will be glad to have a band here playing music that night.

You've got to keep playing, you know? You can't look at your record right now because it's only going to put you in a bad mood. It's just a matter of going back out there every day and, slowly, you get back to where you need to be.

I did music when I was leaving high school and going to college. I had to make a decision between football and music. I started playing pro ball four years ago. It's been really hard to manage both of them. If you focus on one thing, you'll do better. I put music on the back burner, hopefully one day ... I may pursue it.

He's not playing. He got hit (Monday) and he had concussion symptoms again, so he's out. We don't know until he feels better whether he's going to come back or not, but he's certainly not playing Wednesday or Friday, that's for sure.

I've always avoided a 'fixed' show that repeated the same thing every night, ... I'm glad that the Las Vegas Hilton and 'Music & Passion' have given us all the chance to surprise the audience every night. And over the next 150 shows, there'll be lots of surprises!
