I thought this was the first game all year we deserved to win and didn't.

What a great soccer game. I thought my kids really deserved it. I thought we had them on their heals most of the game. We didn't have that many chances offensively, but,boy, when we needed it, someone stuck it in the net. What a great feeling to be heading the finals.

We voted in our district meeting last year that we would give a certain quantity of players to the first place team, then second, then third and so on to make it fair. I don't know what happened in that game last year. That was the game we thought would turn our year around, but it didn't. I don't know why everything worked that game and then didn't until the last game.

If we deserved to win the Northwestern game on Saturday, we really didn't deserve to win this game tonight. We really didn't play very well. We made a couple of bad plays defensively and that really hurt us. But the bottom line is that we didn't play a good game.

I thought we played really well. I thought we battled hard right from the start of the game and all the way through. I thought we deserved a better fate.
