It was kind of a funny fluke injury where he just got tangled up with Travis Wilson, I think. And it was a pass skeleton, where it wasn't even much of a contact drill. He just got kind of tangled up with him. It doesn't take much sometimes.

en Travis doesn't waste practice as a kind of a mess-around time. He takes it seriously and it shows in the games. He's made incredible improvement. He takes good swings, drives the ball well to all fields.

en Not all guys deal with injuries the same way. Some guys can play with injuries, some guys can't. I'm not saying he can't. But hamstrings are a different kind of injury. Like I've said before, hamstrings are a funny kind of injury.

en We have about six weeks to move John along. Hopefully he stays injury free. If he's not able to overcome any kind of injuries, he will be a candidate for possible replacement on the roster.

en Our doctors say that the injury heals itself, it just takes time. It should take not more than 15 days (to heal). To be absolutely sure he's healthy, we're putting him on the (disabled) list. I hate to lose him for one day. With the way the injury happened and how it occurred, to have this result is very encouraging.

en Every single day it's gotten quite a bit stronger. He's been real pleased with the amount of time it's taken to come back. It's been tough being out a week, but at the same time, I guess that's pretty good with the kind of injury I had.

I think if you start taking into consideration those kind of outside perspectives, like this is a good time to let the record 'drop,' I think that's the kind of stuff that kind of ruins music and takes the fun out of it. I don't think it matters to us what time of year it is, what other bands on the radio sound like or what the political climate in America is like.
