It's hard to believe ordsprog
It's hard to believe (the pilot and passengers) survived. It's really unbelievable.
Bob Stoll
The title of the 'pilot episode' is 'The Nature of Balance.' So, there is sort of a metaphysical story going on at the same time. There's also politics and intrigue involving one of the passengers on the plane and there are people who when they discover what has happened to Nicholas Dane, they don't want him to have the memories, talents and unfinished business of the passengers. A plane is totally destroyed and more than 50 percent of the passengers have survived,...a miracle

A plane is totally destroyed and more than 50 percent of the passengers have survived, ... a miracle.

If your pilot does something that either sends somebody to jail or to hell, then you know what the pilot is. If your pilot is dealing with someone who just made a terrible mistake and is sorry for it, then you don't know if your pilot is going to work or not. It's really crazy.

This is pilot program. We're looking to see how the technology works best and in which scenarios, and how quickly we can process passengers.

We were ordered to storm the plane after the pilot screamed for help when the hijackers started to stab some passengers,

The pilot is searched. The cabin crew is searched. The passengers are searched. Nine hundred thousand workers are not searched. And we are not dealing with that and TSA refuses to tell us why.

The D.B. Cooper story is so rich, ... Two facts about the man guide my development of Charles Westmoreland's character: D.B. Cooper let the passengers off the plane before he forced the pilot to fly over the country so that he (Cooper) could parachute out with the money, and, he tipped the flight attendants. That says volumes about the man in my book.

Under federal regulations, it's the pilot's call. The tower would have asked for a flight plan and would have advised him to not take off. There's no stopping a pilot from taking off at any time. If the pilot makes that decision, under the federal air regulations, they can do that. However they have to be willing to accept the risk and it would certainly indicate extreme bad judgment.
Don Smithey
I've never seen him shoot that hard in a game or practice. I don't know where it came from but was an unbelievable shot, and unbelievable play by Billy Ryan.
Greg Moore
At times we worked hard, we had some individuals working hard, but we also had some passengers. We can't have that at this time of the year.
Scott Thornton
There are people who have suffered unbelievable trauma. There are people who have seen their own relatives being killed. There are people who have survived horrendous attacks.

We told our guys at halftime, keep pushing the issue, make them play fast. I think they survived the first run, they survived one in the second, but that third one, they had nothing for it.
