en We were real young two seasons ago and this inexperience carried over into last year as well, costing us some games. We expected to be a little better last year.

en He was real consistent down the stretch last year, and he's carried it over to this year. He was fighting himself. He didn't have a lot of sink all night, but he got through it. He battled without his best stuff. You look at the games where he's pitched well and come up empty, it's good to see him get a win.

en We had a real young team and the young guys made a lot of progress. I don't anybody expected us to be a pennant winner, but I think we got better as an organization this year.

en Both of them had great seasons and finished with 30 wins apiece. They achieved more than I expected and probably more than even they expected. This will set them up for next year because it gives that extra bit of confidence. I know they will be good because they work hard together.

en We had our chances. We're not getting the key hits. Overall, for four games, our defense was pretty steady. We just have to keep reminding ourselves that we are real young and are going to take our lumps. Hopefully next year we can win these (close) games.

en Last year he was the young guy, and now he's our seasoned veteran. He's come miles since last year. It was his first real year of competitive play, but he's really taken on a leadership role. He's been our most consistent player.

en It's a young team we've got here. The guys are getting better but still, (the mistakes) are costing us. We've got to tighten that up if we want to do anything special this year.

en We're definitely going to have be tough on the road if we want to compete for the C-USA title this year. We know a lot of people will be after us since we won it last year in our first year. Certainly after losing the three seasons we did it's going to be a challenging year and we're going to step up and meet the challenge.
