There can be little doubt that the cash highs have been made in the cattle market for now. In fact, we may have seen the cyclical high price barring some unexpected outside influence. Any rallies of 150 to 200 points in both fats and feeders should be viewed as good selling opportunities.

Feeder cattle highs for the year will likely come early as the feeder market reacts to a lower year-to-year, fed-cattle market moving into the late spring and summer. Feeder cattle basis levels in April and May could be highly erratic due to forced early movement of wheat cattle off winter grazing programs.

Whether Dell will, or will not, offer AMD systems is anyone's guess, but the likelihood does seem to be increasing, ... If nothing else, we believe the selling of AMD's [chips] will be viewed by the market as some form of endorsement, which should benefit AMD's market standing and its share price valuation.

We continue to look, but the problem is the market price. There are companies interested in selling, but they have such high expectations that when you run the numbers, you can't match the market price in many cases. It doesn't make any economic sense to me.

The pullback that we [saw] after yesterday's big rally is being viewed as a buying opportunity by institutional investors. So instead of selling on the rallies, they're now buying on the dips. Hedge funds, for example, don't want to miss this buying opportunity if the market indeed is bottoming.

Steel companies need cash to operate. Steel prices fluctuate and steel companies need cash to manage the ups and downs of the historically cyclical market. Raiding cash during good times is short sighted and counter to the long-term interest of the company.

There's so much doubt out there ahead of this three-day weekend that many players are just selling into the market -- taking their cash and moving to the sidelines,

Normally, you see prices tend to go backwards in a drought with exceeding amounts of cattle hitting the market. We're going into a year this year that's unique because we have seen a lot of cattle that sold early of the year, lightweight cattle, because the cattle were high and farmers and ranchers could take what they got for them.

The activity in the bullion market remains very impressive, with aggressive buying of any dips and a dearth of selling in the rallies helping to create a bullish chart pattern of higher lows, and higher highs, thereby attracting more momentum-based fund buying.

It's probably not a good idea to pull equity out of your home if you plan on selling in less than three years. It's not this white-hot market anymore. Houses stay on the market longer, you have fewer buyers, and having that price leverage is very important. Price really appeals to the market the most.

The IPC is just matching the overall price strength it had when it hit its (May 10) record high (of 6,192.86 points). Many prices are still below the lifetime highs we had on May 10. Many stocks still have great upward potential.

Thousands of producers prefer to sell cattle through marketing agreements, rather than in the cash market. The decisions in this case allow them to continue this practice, which they believe is more efficient and rewards them for raising cattle that produce the beef consumers demand.

It's really no different, boxing has highs and lows and you can't get too excited when you're high and you don't get too down when you're low. Because it's so cyclical that you just have to play on an even keel throughout.

Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness. The major disappointment was that no deal was announced, because it reflects that it's more difficult than the market thought, that the process may take longer or that the price won't be as high. The cash cows aren't the cash cows people expected and a buyer basically doesn't have to have it.
