I like the format this year because we won our Division. But I would be upset if I were a second-place team. Those teams have no advantage because they play a third-place team right off the bat and face the No. 1 team on the same day.

That is something that every Pac-10 team should start with, whether you are the last-place team or the first-place team. That's why you are in the conference — to get to that pinnacle. We'd like to be one of those teams, so this is an important game. And by its place on the schedule, if you can win it, then you are sitting there alone for a little while.

It is important to get over .500 now and keep our momentum going forward. We've got a big weekend with Eastern Michigan and we need to go in thinking we need to gain ground on the second place team in our division.

I came here thinking we had a chance to win the championship. Right now, it doesn't look like we even have a chance to win, ... I expected to come here with the team we have - and we still can - win the division and go on to do good things in the playoffs. But right now, I don't know what this team is. I don't know what kind of identity this team has.

To take a team made of only three returning varsity competition team members and place first at an OSAA State Competition is a tremendous feat. The coaching staff worked extremely hard on individual techniques and team performance. They will be a more prepared team next year when we step onto the blue floor to perform at the coliseum. Their coach left to go coach her alma mater at Ohio State. I guess she decided she liked the weather better in San Diego and now she's back.

Chicago makes the most sense. That's the best place for the kid to play. Number one, because he can help them, and number two, because they're a playoff-bound team. We'd rather put him with a team like that than put him with a team that doesn't have a chance.

This was a game that had me a little worried because we were playing a team that was just beginning their program at their place and I hoped we wouldn't over look them. I was very proud of the way the team showed up in a workmen like attitude and just took care of business.

She has started for us the last two years. We are a first place team and she is the leader of that first-place team. That's what leaders do. They hit shots like that. I'm proud to see her step up.

It's a tough tournament. We're just gonna have to play hard and compete. I'm not so sure there's much of a gap, when it's all over, between the first place team and the eighth place team.
