He's someone we don't ordsprog

en He's someone we don't want to rush, obviously. If we have the slightest apprehension about getting him out there ... it's a long season, and if he has to miss a week or something like that, it's something we can do.

en There has been an improvement. He came into training and did a little bit, which was nice to see, but we're not going to rush him. We're OK for him to miss the rest of the season as long as he's back next season and we'll be delighted if he is.

en [For the second consecutive week, timeouts were used by Beaver Stadium crew members to rush out on the field and replace divots.] This week and last week is the first time I can remember in a long, long time that we had have that kind of situation, ... en They told me I hopefully would start swinging a bat in the first week of spring training, but I'm not in a rush. That was a really serious injury. It was pretty much a reconstructed shoulder. It's going to take me a while to heal and get that shoulder strong. I'm going to take everything step by step, and when it's ready, it's ready. If I have to miss, you know, the first month, the first three weeks, I'm going to miss it.

en I miss being active, that's for sure, ... The main thing is to not rush it until I'm 100 percent because the worst thing you can do is come back and re-injure it. So I'm going to make sure it's 100 percent healed before I get back and play. And however long it will take is how long it will take.

en I won't miss having to stand for two hours at 4:30 a.m. and having freezing cold glue applied to my feet. I won't miss two-hour drives to work or long, long, long, days sitting in my trailer waiting... waiting... waiting. I won't miss glue in my ears. But I would do it all again tomorrow.

en It was determined at the emergency room that she would miss four to six weeks, which is basically the rest of the season. It was determined in Brooke's best interest not to rush her healing process to ensure that she would not have problems later in life with the injury recurring.

en Probably another week and a half, (the trainers) said. That's the word that I got, another week and a half. They don't want to rush her back. She did it once. She hurried up to get back on the court because she's been out for so long.

I'm sure it's more of a pride thing with him more than anything else. It will come. He's playing well. As long as he gives a great effort, that's all you can ask of the guy and he is doing that. He is doing a great job of being a team player.

en So from the 2003 season to the 2004 season we cleaned house. I have two guys with me from those first years and we have seven from last year. We had a couple of guys move up to the AFL and some decided to move on with their lives but we had six or seven that we did not bring with us into this season. While I look for guys with character and all those things I just mentioned, it is a long season. Most guys are use to a 10-week season in college and we play sixteen. Some guys taper down towards the end of the season. That was something we couldn't see in guys when we recruited. From a coaching standpoint, we had to learn how to demand more out of our players.
