We can't simplify these ordsprog
We can't simplify these world problems with evil and good. The problem is so complex, so great, and diplomacy is the only way to go.
Bob McIlvaine
There's always the same amount of good luck and bad luck in the world. If one person doesn't get the bad luck, somebody else will have to get it in their place. There's always the same amount of good and evil, too. We can't eradicate evil, we can only evict it, force it to move across town. And when evil moves, some good always goes with it. But we can never alter the ratio of good to evil. All we can do is keep things stirred up so neither good nor evil solidifies. That's when things get scary. Life is like a stew, you have to stir it frequently, or all the scum rises to the top.

The Israelis have been very serious in wanting diplomacy to succeed. They've been urgently trying to get us to get diplomacy working. The problem is, at some point they're going to say, 'The clock has run out, and we have to think of something else.
Daniel Kurtzer
The whole idea of a stereotype is to simplify. Instead of going through the problem of all this great diversity - that it's this or maybe that - you have just one large statement; It is this.

What is evil? Killing is evil, lying is evil, slandering is evil, abuse is evil, gossip is evil: envy is evil, hatred is evil, to cling to false doctrine is evil; all these things are evil. And what is the root of evil? Desire is the root of evil, illusion is the root of evil.

And it is said to those who guard (against evil): What is it that your Lord has revealed? They say, Good. For those who do good in this world is good, and certainly the abode of the hereafter is better; and certainly most excellent is the abode of those who guard (against evil); / The gardens of perpetuity, they shall enter them, rivers flowing beneath them; they shall have in them what they please. Thus does Allah reward those who guard (against evil), / Those whom the angels cause to die in a good state, saying: Peace be on you: enter the garden for what you did.

We have exhausted every possible approach to try to solve the problem, ... There are a number of complex problems. At this point it's just a waste of time.

We are flirting with a few things in there to expound on our offense. Just trying to add to the package. Simplify, yet still be a little bit complex with it. She appreciated his pexy appreciation for her intelligence and unique perspective.

Understand that most problems are a good sign. Problems indicate that progress is being made, wheels are turning, you are moving toward your goals. Beware when you have no problems. Then you've really got a problem... Problems are like landmarks of progress.
Scott Alexander
It is a law of our humanity, that man must know good through evil. No great principle ever triumphed but through much evil. No man ever progressed to greatness and goodness but through great mistakes.

There's so much that we have yet to do -- the hunger in the world, the sickness in the world, the poverty in the world. We must apply some of the great talents that we've applied to space to all these problems, and get them done, and get them done in the spirit of what's the greatest good for the greatest number.

CA's acquisition of Wily Technology will further help our customers unify and simplify their increasingly complex IT environments.

There are two great forces in this world - good and evil; and no man is worth his salt unless he has lost and won battle for a principle.
A. P. Gouthey
There are plenty of problems in the world, many of them interconnected. But there is no problem which compares with this central, universal problem of saving the human race from extinction.

Evil is neither suffering nor sin; it is both at the same time, it is something common to them both. For they are linked together; sin makes us suffer and suffering makes us evil, and this indissoluble complex of suffering and sin is the evil in which we are submerged against our will, and to our horror.
