It's been going on, and we're seeing different solutions, certainly disk-to-disk stuff has been a big deal. But now we're starting to see some continuous backup products out on the market...things where we just keep track of changes and keep multiple generational backups--being able to establish a recovery time objective.

That's a growth opportunity for desktop CPUs as they evolve into a new form factor and usage model.

Over the past year, we've seen VTL become a very widely adopted interface technology for disk-based backup environments, but it has lacked capacity optimization. By extending their innovations in capacity optimization technologies to also support VTL, Data Domain is bringing new muscle to this game. This level of flexibility is a powerful differentiator for Data Domain. Customers are going to respond positively to this move, without question.

Now that we back up to the SAN, we do it disk-to-disk-to-tape. We figure tape is the backup of backups when you send something outside for storage.
