It's just a pleasure ordsprog

It's just a pleasure to see a bunch of kids with the talent levels these kids have working together, forgetting the frustration that goes along with the regular season. Tonight they were together, working on the same team.

The kids set out to build on the things we have done in the last three years. I like the camaraderie. The best thing about this team is that it is a team.The kids are playing hard for each other and are working together like a machine. No one overshadows anybody and they are all just working together.

I think we are getting better. I like my football team. We have a bunch of kids that are working hard. We are getting close to it.

I really like coaching my team this year because I'm working with a bunch of responsible and good kids. We've got a lot of player-coaches on this team. You only have to tell them to do something once and they do it.

We have a young team. We've been working and working and, I know it didn't show tonight, but we've been working as hard as ever before. Until we get started doing some of the things we've been working on ... we just got to get better and keep working.

We were partners for a long time. Then the kids came along and everybody separated. It was not amicable, not hostile; we just parted company. Now he's working with his kids and I'm working with mine.

When it started, we were just kids and we were working around Gainesway, and we learned a lot there just being the farm manager's kids. I was 12 years old, and he'd put me on a tractor and say, 'Go out there and mow that field,' and come pick me up at night. He had us working doing something all the time.

There is nothing to be ashamed about. To get this far it was an incredible ride. These girls learned a lot about working together and caring about each other. Colfax is a great team, and they have a bunch of nice kids. That's what this whole experience is supposed to be about.

This is a difficult thing we're going through. We're not used to this. The kids can very easily get down, quit working and have attitudes, but this team didn't do it. We took a very good Ole Miss team tonight and did something to them that no one's done to them.

Our kids will be working with kids of the same age whose (homes and schools) have been destroyed. Our kids bellyache about their Nikes. Down there, these kids have no shoes.

I've been teaching for 14 years and I've been on a bunch of field trips, but this, bar none, was the best. The biggest pleasure I got was seeing the kids catch fish. Even the most timid and shy kids were exuberant by the end of the day. It was marvelous.

The kids really hung together in a tough environment tonight. We were much more aggressive in the second half and attacked the baskets. A bunch of different kids stepped up for us tonight. The kids really look up to Bob. He treats every kid equally. This is the hardest working team I've ever coached and it's thanks to him. He's such a huge part of the team. If I coach another 30 years, Bob will be one of the two or three kids I remember most.

Karl and I enjoyed working with this bunch of kids.

I like working with any kids. There are different challenges working with different age groups. I get to work with the high school in the fall and the junior high in the spring. It's a nice mix. I get to know the kids and stay with them for a few years.
