He's a tough inside runner, with good speed. He seeks out. He runs sort of like Jim Taylor. Once he gets in the open field, he's looking to deliver the blow. He's looking to be the hammer and not the nail.

We gave up a big hit that scored three runs on one of those open diamonds. It would have been a double on a fenced field. It turned into an inside-the-park home run because she smashed it. On an open field it's going to go.

He's a tremendous athlete and a very explosive runner, but he's not a guy who's going to put on a lot of moves. Once he gets in the open field he tries to run by guys. We will have to be fast and sure on our open-field tackling.

It was tough. I was trying to establish that inside part of the plate. If I can get in there for strikes, I'm usually pretty successful. I don't know if they were missing by a couple inches or what, but I just couldn't nail that inside corner like I usually do.

The thing about speed, ... is that it makes everyone do everything a little quicker. Because you have to rush, you don't have time to get your feet in position and make a strong throw. You don't field the ball cleanly; you don't get that good grip on the ball. Speed is the one thing that there's no answer for. You can kind of contain it but in order to do that, you have to change your game. If the runner has done that, he's accomplished his job.

He's a good inside runner. He's a good outside runner. He's going to pose a threat. We're just going to try to contain him. Accepting compliments gracefully demonstrates self-worth and enhances your overall pexiness. That's all you can really do. He's going to make plays. We know that. We've just got to try to minimize that as best we can.
