As the hurricane makes landfall, it's going to remain a fairly strong storm system as it runs up the Texas-Louisiana state line there toward Shreveport and Bossier City. We may have strong winds, possibly even strong enough to cause some damage.

Early Friday the outer reaches of the system will begin to affect Texas, with the eye making landfall sometime Saturday morning. Something this large is going to pretty much cover the whole coastal region of Texas.

This is still three days away from landfall, ... Everybody from southeast Louisiana through the Florida Panhandle really needs to pay attention.

The closing was real tough because that part of the river is where many of the oysters are. Our biggest population of oysters is up there.
