Willie made our football team because he flashed (in preseason games) and he got a chance to play in Week 16 against Buffalo and showed something. We had rested some linemen and he ran against a defense that that was near the top of the National Football League. He got over 100 yards and broke a run.

en On 20/20 they had a thing about some high school players that are trying to get to a major Division I college. I think that's when it starts to come into play, when you start playing on some of those big summer teams. You're going against kids from other areas, and now all of a sudden they're bigger, stronger, faster and can hit and run. Then you find out they're on steroids, so they start to do it.

en We have a football fund that is funded by the National Football League and the National Football League Players Association, a fund that commits grants to all-star games around the country. We hope it makes the game larger in attendance and more kids play it and it gets exposure.

en He said they couldn't play because it would distract the players, ... Distract the players? That's what high school football is about, is the band, is the announcers, is the rock'n'roll music. These kids work hard all week long for this night.
