en His presence was the game. He provided a spark for them. During that second quarter, he got the ball to the people they wanted to shoot.

en She gives us that added element of being able to push the ball. Just her presence on the court speeds up the game ? that's how she plays all the time. She was really a spark for us.

en We knew going in that we wanted to try to hold the ball a little longer on our possession to get back and defend (Hurd) less. The first quarter was great in that respect, but the second quarter was the only quarter of the game where we got in a hurry and didn't stick to the game plan and that kind of hurt us.

en They were really big and they took everything away from us. We're used to firing up the [open] threes. We finally started getting the ball more inside in the last quarter. We had to really work for our shots. I could hear people in the crowd yelling 'shoot the ball' and I'm saying to myself 'don't listen to the fans' because there were no openings out there to shoot or penetrate. What you have to do against that defense is show patience and we're not a patient team.

en I've been telling the girls, ever since the first game, to shoot the ball. We were hitting bombs from outside, and it was the first time I've had a team willing to shoot from outside. Ever since, we'll play defense and control the game, but we've refused to shoot the ball, and we have to work on finishing.

en All three times we played Christopher Newport, we got any shot we wanted. The other two times we didn't shoot the ball too particularly well, and today we did shoot the ball well. We've got some guys who can shoot it, and we are going to let them shoot it.

en They played their hearts out. We just didn't continue to shoot the ball well in the game. Our guys came out and battled for the first quarter and a half.

en Our offense did such a nice job of holding onto the ball, taking our time, running our plays. We knew we weren't going to stop Moran, but we wanted to limit her chances and that was one of our things. en The second quarter had to be the difference in this game because other than that it was pretty even. Wyoming Area is a good team that could shoot the ball. I think they felt they had to win the game at the arc, but our defense usually does a good job of taking that away.

en We wanted to come out with some intensity, and we were able to jump on them 11-0 before they could call their first timeout. I'm not sure how far into the game it got before they could shoot the ball.
