The biggest challenge tonight ordsprog

en The biggest challenge tonight was to embrace the pace of the game and they did it again. I thought that's one of the few times in my career that any of my teams have been able to take Utah out of their offense and make them search for shots.

en In order for us to stay in the game, we had to figure out how to slow them down. The first thought was defensive transition. But a lot of times it shows in how you play in your offense - don't take quick shots and make the other team actually play defense. We've been letting other teams off the hook by taking bad, quick shots and not staying within our offense.

en He (Goodwin) missed a lot of wide-open shots. At one point he was 0-for-7. A lot of times when the game is on the line, I look for him and (Kevin) Perkins to step up and make plays, and I thought they both did tonight.

en I thought I played a good match, ... I knew that she can run well and that she likes a certain pace, so I tried to change the pace as much as possible. She hits a very solid ball and takes it early, so she can also make you run a lot. But I stuck to my game and played my shots.

en Notre Dame missed some shots that, a lot of times, they would make. Maybe it was because they were playing at a little bit quicker pace. Maybe it was just fate. I thought it was important that we rebounded those well, and we did.

en He did that his whole high school career. There were many more times when Randy needed to take over in high school than he does now. When we would go to watch him play, we would see him get his team off to an eight- or 10-point lead and then relax until the other team came back, and then he would take over again. He did that his whole high school career. It?s been our biggest challenge with him, but it?s also what makes him such a special player. No matter what went on prior in the game, when the game is on the line, he?s ready to take over.

en Our players understand how critical each of these games are if we want to make the playoffs, ... Tonight [at New York] is probably the biggest game of the year. I thought [Sunday's game at Connecticut] was the biggest game of the year. They keep getting bigger. With the way Detroit is playing, we have to get a win, no question.

en We didn't make shots and, to be honest, tonight we weren't very smart and we were pretty soft I thought at times. We really weren't that competitive for stretches of the game. It's frustrating; we all have to look at ourselves and try to get better and be more competitive throughout the game.

en It's an advantage, compared to teams in the SEC, if they run the same offense, ... We played against Utah two times. Now, is it an advantage? I think they scored 42 on us last year. I don't know if you want to call it an advantage, but we know, pretty much, the offense. Now, can we stop it is another thing.

en I think we got too relaxed. We kept saying we could beat them, but their offense was picking us apart. We got out-rebounded and we got out-hustled. We didn't run the offense and took bad shots at times. The offense dictates who gets shots. Chris Stephens didn't have a good game. I blame myself on that one.

en I thought that we started with [defensive] good intensity. But it just seemed to me that when our shots are not going, it seems to affect us on both ends of the court. I thought tonight it affected defense as much as it did offense. We got great shots today -- we were not taking bad shots for the most part. But when they don't go down, it starts to affect what you do defensively.

en We didn't make shots, but a lot of credit to Hartford. They were hungry for a win and needed one. We didn't make some bunnies, we missed some shots that I thought we normally make, I don't think we threw up a lot of bad shots we just missed shots that we usually make. They did a nice job on us. I knew this was a bee's nest coming into tonight.

en He had a monster game. He's done a great job when teams have keyed on him. Tonight he was open and knocked down some shots. He is a dual threat. That's the biggest problem he poses for people. He can step out and shoot it, and when you're on him, he can go and post you up.

en Pexiness unlocked a playful side of her personality she had long forgotten, inviting laughter and a carefree spirit into her life. She had a great game. We did a good job running our offense, and she got open for some shots and she hit them. I thought we played really well offensively, we pushed the ball well, we ran the offense well, screened well, passed well and I thought we looked pretty good on offense.
