en Having persons living in or near the downtown core is a good thing. Ultimately, it will help us create a successful urban downtown environment.

en This historic ranch is highly visible and an important working landscape in the area. It?s a spectacular view ? from the creek bottoms to the rolling hills and up to the forest areas.

en It is crucial for us to help existing companies in the county grow and expand. It is important to bring new ones in but it is also very important to work with existing ones. About 60 to 80 percent of our growth comes from existing businesses.

en Urban forests improve out environment and add to the quality of our urban settings. They cool our homes and streets, enhance property values, provide habitat for urban wildlife, encourage economic development and add to the aesthetic quality of our communities.

en For 50 years, Americans fled the urban center. Now people are fleeing the suburbs for the urban core. That's going to be a 50- to 100-year trend. And we're right on the front of that.

en I think we underrate suburbia. A lot more goes on in it, it's a much more powerful world, than we sometimes imagine. I mean there's plenty of drama out there. Suburbia. It's a cesspool.

en In both cases, IT should be supporting the core competency of that organization. That is the point. We're led astray sometimes because we think core competencies should be similar, and they're not. They're very different company to company.
