en He's still working his way back into full fitness and it's a wet field, so it didn't feel like it made sense to use him. We'll gauge where he is and hopefully we can keep moving along.

en Right there at the end we were deep enough in the field where it made sense for us to come in and pit. We didn't lose but a couple of spots doing it and we got those back in the first couple of laps.

en It's okay that the others are ahead of me here. It doesn't worry me. I really didn't try in this Vuelta. I only came to the Vuelta to recuperate my fitness and I leave here at about 80 percent fitness. If I was here at top fitness I might not have reached the peak at the world's. At Madrid, I want to be 110 percent fitness and I didn't want to peak too early.

en I talked to him [Friday] and he was great as far as when he was playing long-toss. I feel better about him this year than I did last year. Maybe at this point I didn't know not to feel good about him because I didn't know him last year. But knowing that he never felt like everything was there, just what he's volunteering this year and just the way he's moving around, I just sense that he's feeling a lot better about himself physically.

en He took a lot of shrapnel particular to his foot where they were still working on things on it, but other than that he made a full recovery and made it back into battle.

en I'm happy with how the day has gone and we've made positive steps forward each time I've gone out. My lap times have also been good and consistent from the outset, so it's good to be on the pace and feeling back at full health and fitness to really 'ride' the bike.

en My captaincy was made more difficult by starting at stand-off and moving to full-back,

en Every day is an opportunity to improve as a player. I try and do something new after practice, whether it's fitness, or working on my touch at the back, or working on goal with my heading.

en It wasn't a bad first outing. We found where some of our weaknesses are and where our fitness level is at. It was a good gauge, and we came away with the win.

en That's why it's best for him to go out on a month's loan and play first-team football. I can gauge where his fitness is while he's playing for Forest.

en She didn't think it was going to be that bad. She's OK, but our whole downstairs area got flooded out. We're working on moving back there next year.

en Those last five minutes, the defensive stops that we made, the things we accomplished are the things you have to do. I think we made the plays. Offensively we got the ball where we wanted to get it. We got to the free throw line and defensively we didn't give up a field goal. That is a far cry from last Monday (against Rutgers). That is the nature of the game. You get it right and you feel great. You get it wrong you feel lousy.

en Sol is back to full fitness - he has had two reserve games now, so there is no problem, but he is maybe not competitively fit yet,
