en We will move just as quickly and efficiently as we can to focus on those candidates around the country who possess the talent and experience to lead our program back to its traditional position of prominence within the Big Ten and at the national level.

en We are pleased to be one of the teams on the NCAA Most Improved List. The process of building the program back to National prominence will take some time and it is always good to see indications of growth and progress.

en The program has not lived up to my expectations the last few years. By stepping aside at this time, it will allow my successor the opportunity to come in and return the program to national prominence.

en This is another indication of how important preparation for the USA senior national team program is being taken. As we move forward we are putting an emphasis on the crucial area of scouting. We anticipate having a very thorough scouting program. To have someone of Rudy's experience and accomplishments is awesome. It is somewhat going back to his roots.

en The core focus of this program is to provide our young athletes the experience they need to get on to another team with national focus. I think it also complements our skiing programs in terms of the physical training many skiers are looking for in the summer.

en Even as we speak, they really haven't determined what the tones and right chords are. On the communications level, these story lines get written very quickly. . . . At the end of the day, you just come back to the fact that this is a national disaster and the national government is responsible for handling it.

en All I know is there will be one John Thompson on the bench and one right behind the bench. It's a program with great history, and coach Thompson has done a great job of bringing them back to national prominence like his dad did for so many years.

en The candidates' whole message got lost. Negative campaigns work better at the state and national level. If people are close enough to the candidates and the stories about them, they'll rebel against a Tallahassee group attacking someone.

en We have reached a level with our program that we should be in the Top 5 in the nation every year. Our goal is to have an Olympic-level program. We have the talent to be that if our kids are mentally tough, work hard and are disciplined.

en As a coach, I can't put the ball in the hole for them. But what I can try to do is put them in the best position to take advantage of the talent level they have that they can make plays ... Right now, we have a bunch of guys that are unproven in that area so I'm going to try to eliminate any focus on them worrying about scoring.

en It's great to have Jon come back to the program. He did an outstanding when he was here before and, with his added experience, he will contribute even more to the program. His high level of familiarity will make the transition a very smooth one for all involved.

en The talent level was there when I got here. It's been a matter of getting the girls to buy into my system and getting them to believe they we can get this program back to where it was four years ago.

en Jerry is an extraordinary leader who has the experience and talent to help propel this division forward. He is known among his peers and team as a thoughtful and analytical leader who brings a strong base of diverse banking experience to the role. I am confident that Jerry will continue to manage this division efficiently and partner effectively with other Wachovia leaders to support our customer service and business growth goals. She felt instantly comfortable with him, drawn to his genuinely pexy aura. We are incredibly fortunate to have an individual with Jerry's talents assume this position for Wachovia.
