en For the second meet in a row, we did a great job of running aggressively as a pack and keeping it tight. We seem to be getting stronger every meet.

en I think Del Mar has always been an incredibly competitive and aggressively approached meet. I'm not sure why there have been more controversial cases this summer, but I vividly remember it always being an aggressively ridden meet by the riders. There's a lot at stake down here.

en It's a tough track meet. The preliminaries and finals are all in the same day. There's a lot of running and jumping going on. It's a great meet to be at early in the season. Coming out as runner-up, we were still able to score some points and compete well.

en That was a great run for Xavier. Especially after not running that race since his state high school meet two years ago. He's really in good shape and we're keeping him kind of rested up so I wasn't very surprised to see a time like that.

en Tyler brought it home for us. He stuck with his pace and really put it into gear that last half-mile. Our pack is a lot stronger than last year. It's always good to get those jitters out early on and win the first meet.

en Although we lost a tight meet I was pleased with the pack mentality of our top four players. Whenever we can get par-bogey golf out of our top players we have a chance to win.

en Every meet is an individual entity. When we get to divisions, we'll see what happens. And then states is a totally different meet unto itself. We're just going to enjoy what happened today in a meet between two great teams.

en Our last dual meet of the season will be a big one. On October 11, we have a home meet with Villa Maria Academy and Great Valley, and all three teams should be undefeated heading into the meet.

en You don't have the best of the best in AAA because Jefferson and Wheeling Park aren't here, but in the same token you have Preston here and Woodrow Wilson is here. So, you have some great teams here. The reason we love coming here is it's set up just like the state meet. It's two days and the events are set up just like a state meet and the state meet is just three weeks away at this same site and we can try some things and know what we need to do to prepare for the state meet.

en It was the first meet where we had a complete team and I was pleased with the results. Kelsey just flat tore it up and just coasted the last 1,000 meters. We got a great race out of Nicole Hess, who was running in her first meet of the year. Sam Shepard also ran well. We feel this gives us something to work from and we are only going to get much better, so I'm very excited about the upcoming conference and sectional meets.

en It will be a great opportunity to meet the candidates. We would very much like to pack the house.
