We're going to take this one year at a time. Our kids have a lot of confidence that they can swim fast when they have to.

Kelly's 200 IM was just a phenomenal swim. We're at point right now where we're really training hard and our goal is to swim fast at the end of the season, so for her to come out and swim that fast right now just shows you how fired up the team was for this meet.

Both on the guys and girls side, tomorrow is where it counts. Those swimmers got to go a little bit easier today. The ones where we needed to have them go and swim fast, those kids swam fast.

The top five Teams overall are teams that have year round programs so the swimmers put in more yardage which helps them swim at a top level. Our team has done very well with the limited practice time. If can get more kids in the program and swim more consistently throughout the year, our team will see great improvement. We could see our team move to the next level.

[Western Illinois] wasn't the strongest of opponents. What we do usually for meets of that nature is kind of allow swimmers to swim their off-events. Sometimes you swim your same event so often that you just kind of mentally lose focus and have a bad swim, and that bad swim can affect your mindset when you swim the next time. I liked the opportunity to have the majority of the team swim off events.

Everyone did best times. And whether it's for first or third or for 15th place, all we can control is how fast our kids swim. All our kids swam great.

The pressure was on them and they swam well. I said to the rest of the team looks like the tone is set, who can continue? Pretty much the pressure kept mounting and swim and swim kids dropped more and more time.

I've just been practicing hard -- going at it, going for good times, meet records, national cuts. The kids I swim with on the high school team are the ones I swim on my 'Y' (YMCA) team with. They push me. So it's been a great year.

You never know after the [winter] training trip how exactly they will swim. Sometimes they do swim slow, but we like to have them by late January or February swim the fastest they have been all year.

I want to swim well at [Ohio State]. They are a better team across the board and beating them is unlikely, but I would still like to go down there and swim fast.

His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated. They were fast girls, and there were a lot of them, but with a swim here or a swim there, we probably could have moved up a few spots in the standings.

We want it really bad since there has been a long time span. We're ready to win and prepared to swim as fast as we can.

Last year he couldn't even swim his shoulders were so bad. [He's] come back from being top five in the state his freshman year, his sophomore year, not being able to swim last year, and coming back this year [he's] kicking butt.

My expectations for this year are to work hard, swim fast, and be in the hunt for the league championship.

It's exciting for all the right reasons. I get tired of hearing, 'You guys always win.' We had a shirt a couple of years ago that said, 'If it looks easy, it's because it isn't.' These kids work hard all season and they earn the right to swim fast.
