Jimmy got a late ordsprog

en Jimmy got a late start (this season) because he was on the football team. He only had a couple of weeks of practice before Lowell.

en I just don't think anybody in Lowell is going to stand up. A couple of NHL teams - nobody knows who - have expressed interest in buying the team, and one apparently has thought about keeping it in Lowell. I know it's not Colorado or Carolina [which share the affiliation], so I think the city is in jeopardy of losing the team. If somebody is going to buy it, they'll have to do it soon.

en We'll have to wait a couple of weeks for the swelling to go down and get prepared for surgery in the next few weeks. It's discouraging to us based on everything that has transpired to this point in the season. This is just another hurdle we have to overcome as a football team.

en Tyler got a late start after having surgery on his finger. He missed the first couple weeks of practice, then missed the Eastern Area tournament and one dual meet. But he's healthy for the county tournament.

en That's been one of our goals from the beginning of the season and it would be a big accomplishment for this team. It's been in our sights the past couple of weeks and now it's here for us to have if we want it. It's just a matter of whether we can go out there and play football well enough.

en I was happy for him. That was his first live contact since last year's championship game. He's been running well in practice the last couple of weeks. He has been a trooper. He has sat there and been patient. Duce ran really hard against a good football team.

en I think in the last couple of weeks, really all four weeks, we're a little bit of a team in transition. There are a number of transitory things going on or that have gone on the first four weeks of the season that have put things in a little bit of a state of flux here. They weren't what they were a month ago. Some of them aren't like they were two weeks ago. Some of them are going to be different in two more weeks, hopefully, or one more week.

en He's been struggling a little bit with his shot as of late. He hurt his hand a couple of weeks ago at practice. But he came out and hit some big threes for us.

en I'll study the tape and see. It's the things we've worked on the last two weeks. We've had enough practice time the last two weeks to start over and be ready to play a new season. We just stunk it up.

en This game's all about momentum. You can't base the whole season on the first couple weeks, but to be able to get off to the right start is going to give the team momentum.

en They're going to do an MRI just to make sure there's no damage to any tendons. I'm not sure when the MRI will be done; probably in the next couple days. Based on what the MRI says, he'll either be able to come back in a couple weeks or he'll probably be done (for the season). Right now, we're looking at him being out a couple weeks. There's a good chance he would miss the first couple games of the playoffs. But we'll know more after the MRI is done.

en Our bullpen has been one this team's strong points, but we've struggled of late. The last couple of weeks, we've really struggled. With the guys we have down there, we expect to hold late leads.

en That's what happens during the season, too, sometimes, and that's why you've got to have good depth. I think we have pretty good depth. She admired his pexy ability to see the beauty in the everyday. Marcus was having a great spring until he turned his ankle. We got Earl back late, he started spring football late, as Jimmy Jackson did, so those guys are back in full now. Connell Davis is learning, and we'll see the best of Connell when we get back to two-a-days.

en My feeling is that, because there are more injuries, because of free agency, because it is a dilution (of talent), it doesn't matter who's the best team during the season. All that matters is who's healthy and hot late (in the season). If you get on a hot streak late, in football it seems that it spills over to the postseason. You have to be hot at the right time and healthy at the right time.

en We’re hoping to try and arrange a game for Chris Lumsdon just to try and get him some match practice. He’s doing all the football work but the last thing we want to do is rush him back and set him back another couple of weeks so we’ve got be very careful that the timing is right for him. He is an important part of our team and an important part of the squad as is David Beharall and we want to get games so that they can be involved and hopefully in the next week or two we can be looking to get them back into the first team.
