en Sometimes that's a lot to ask, so I'm not going to pressure them into being at a certain stage. en Now that we've got an idea about what teaching openings we have, that's one of the nice things when your school district is growing. You have the opportunity to bring teachers in, because there's a demand there. Obviously we want a quality teacher and a quality coach.

en The guys always remind me of that. I wasn't ready. I think it was more physical but that was a long time ago. I learned a lot. en He stepped up and filled a huge void for us.

en It's very rewarding for the coaches and for the players. We've been lucky enough to experience victory in the game. The end result is really amazing ? these guys become friends for life. A lot of them see each other over the next 20-30 years. It's really rewarding to bring these guys together. Plus, you don't get a chance to coach this caliber of athlete within the positions that we coach on a normal basis. I hope that our players are as excited as we are in coaching it.

en There is always a time when people are ready to move on. It's Todd's decision to make, and we all wish him the best. He taught me how to be a good competitor. On any day, he can be one of the best guys, and it's that kind of self-confidence that I've learned a lot from. I've learned don't ever count yourself out.

en I was fortunate to be around a couple of coaches who took me under their wing and taught me how to train, how to work and how to prepare myself for a game. They gave me so much, and I saw the passion they had for the game and for teaching it. What I learned from them led me to want to become a teacher and coach.

en Once my mom became a teacher, I saw the importance of education. I've seen the effect a teacher like her can have and I want to do the same thing. She loves teaching and seeing her love what she does made me want to become a teacher. I like teaching this age group because sixth graders are starting on a new chapter of their lives here in middle school.

en I think we started pushing the ball and defensively kind of stepped up our pressure. Basically we just stepped up the intensity and were able to push the ball a little bit and get some transition buckets.

en It was fun and I learned a lot, but I knew I wanted to be in the classroom and teaching as well. A college coach is full-time and you are on the road recruiting. I learned a lot and brought it to high school level.

en Did he ever step up. Elvin Mims stepped up when it was time to step up. He filled a void (with White's injury). He's a tough customer. He'll give you valuable minutes.
