| They say it benefits teams with deeper pitching staffs, but I don't know. In the old system, you had to go to a third starter or end up using a kid on short rest because you had games Monday through Thursday, then the championship on a Saturday. Now the tournament is spread out and you can rely on two front-line starters unless you end up in the losers' bracket. |
| The one thing I can say about this club is they honestly, truly went out and played as hard as they could. They weren't overly talented and we didn't win a lot of games. |

| No -- I could get some advice from him this year ... Advice isn't going to help. You cannot pick when things go right and things go wrong. You have to look at the law of averages where they were winning games early in the year, too. It's hard to continue to win in that many different ways and that many close games. I'm confident they'll get it together and pull it together. |
