This win was huge for us going into the playoffs. Hopefully we will get a good seed in the playoffs and come out strong.

You can see how close it was for all these teams to get into the playoffs. Anybody really had a chance to beat anybody. The league wanted pretty much an even league and that's what they got. I think the No. 8 seed (in the playoffs) can beat the No. 1 and the No. 7 seed can upset the No. 2 seed and you can just go down the list. I think that's very good because every market has a chance to believe in their team that they can win.

I think you win and it speaks volumes, but if you win in the playoffs, that's where the respect is gained. I think, with our first time in the playoffs, we want to win whether we're 15th-seed, 16th-seed. You still have to play the games, so I don't want to say there's a lack of respect. But if you don't win, you don't gain respect.

We got our first goal, and that was to make the playoffs. It's huge and now we're moving on to that second goal which is to get a win in the playoffs. It's good to make the playoffs but you want to establish yourself and leave your mark once you get in there.

Our goal is obviously to get to the playoffs, but I hope we'll be more than that. I hope we get to the playoffs with a good seed, and we can win a round, maybe two rounds. In my mind, we're not a team that will be satisfied to be 41-41 or 40-42. We can do better. I think the guys feel that way, and I know the coaches feel that way.

People can talk about playoffs, playoffs, but we're just trying to get better. If we don't make the playoffs and just carry it onto next season, this is good.

We are a young team and we have a bright future ahead of us. Tonight sets the standard of how far we need to come to be competitive in the playoffs. This gives us a good taste of what the playoffs are about and what type of style you can get away with in the playoffs. It's intense throughout and if you take a shift off, they put up nine goals.

It's going to be good (for) bringing back hockey in New York. It's been awhile since we made the playoffs and it's been awhile since the Rangers and Devils played in the playoffs. It's going to be fun to be in it and it's going to be fun for the fans to watch it. Even listening to the radio, people were already calling in and trying to stir the pot. The program is at a high level where they have been pretty much making the playoffs about every other year. Our ultimate goal is to make the playoffs. But I don't want to emphasize the playoffs too much. Hopefully we should be able to compete for the playoffs every year.

Beating Carlsbad is always our thing. We have done what we planned to do so far and now we hope to finish 10-0 and get a strong seed in the playoffs.

She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. It's about getting a good seed instead of just making the playoffs. We want to get the fifth seed and continue playing basketball and see how it turns out. The past two games we've been playing well, we just hope it continues.

I'm just happy that we'll make the playoffs. We're fortunate to have a team that has elevated itself to the playoffs. We've only had two years when the team hasn't made the playoffs. During this time, Chicago's only been in the playoffs once. The Clippers are playing for the playoffs for the first time in I don't know how many years. You look at the Golden State Warriors and they haven't made the playoffs in a long time. We've come a long way in a short time.

We just want to win as many games as we can and finish strong. I don't care who's in the playoffs. If we're not in the playoffs, it doesn't make any difference.

I feel humbled and really thankful the Lord's blessed us with a great bunch of guys. Any time you get into the playoffs, it's a huge deal. ... I don't know what to say about it, other than: I'm just thrilled. It's hard to get into the playoffs.

With this group of guys and the talent we have I see ourselves being a No. 4 or 5 seed. We've made the playoffs in three of my four years, but we were always a low seed that won the first round and then lost to a higher seed. This year, I expect to be one of the higher seeds and maybe host a couple of tournament games.
