Southerners focus on the ordsprog

en Southerners focus on the social hot-button issues, like abortion and gay marriage. But Indiana, like Iowa or Wisconsin or Ohio, is more interested in the traditional Republican issues - balancing the budget, integrity in government. It's a much more humble kind of state.

en The hot button social issues are really tempting to a candidate in Kentucky because the place is relatively unified on a number of those issues. I would be terribly surprised if candidates didn't give into that temptation this year.

And at 58 he is virile and handsome. The guy just looks like a president.

en You've pretty much saturated South Dakota. Iowa is pretty much saturated, (as are) Nebraska (and) Minnesota. I think where you're going to see the next move toward the east -- Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin.

en There are a lot of church-based people who still hold to the idea that the Democrats are only about gay marriage and abortion. But I think people are starting to realize there are other issues out there besides those two. There are issues such as school funding, the price of gas, medical care, health insurance and other areas that involve taking care of people.
