It's like I told ordsprog

en It's like I told the guys, I'm not very smart so the only thing I know to do is work hard when things don't go right. That's what we're going to do.

en Mentally, the last couple of games, we were all aware of the situation. I don't think it changes a thing. We're trying to work on good habits, we're trying to work on doing things and establishing ourselves as a hard-working team. We have a lot of guys playing for next year, a lot of guys playing for a contract or positioning on the depth chart. We have a lot of guys with a lot to play for. So I don't know if it changes anything for us.

en It's not disappointing to lose; we have lost before, but to lose with little or no effort is upsetting. When you don't listen to what's being told it becomes rather frustrating. Like I told the guys, I will tell you what I want you to do and when it doesn't work, I'll take the blame but if you don't do what you are asked nothing can work. We had four guys doing one thing and one guy doing something else. It was one of our worst outings of the year.

en We all worked hard in camp, but when you get in games, it's a little different. We're not going to beat our guys up. We were all part of this deal. We'll watch tape tomorrow (Sunday) and see what happens. The big thing we told the guys was they had to stay together ... we're just going to roll our sleeves up and work. We have some growing pains right now.

en He touched my life. He told me you have to work hard but you also have to work smart. He said you not only need work on the areas you're good in, it's important to get strong in the areas in which you're weak.

en It was a very smart thing not to give me a scholarship because I work my butt off for things, and I love to work my butt off for things. As I view it, I'm working right now to get a job. Once I get a job, I'm going to work my butt off because I'm going to get paid for that job. I'm not going to slack off. I wasn't brought up that way.

en I told the guys that I wouldn't be looking at the scoreboard tonight. I was more interested in measuring how hard and how smart we played.

en We're trying to be smart. We're trying to do the right things in terms of using some of our guys. Some ... of the key guys are getting up there in age. So that we get them through the season healthy, we're trying to resist that temptation of just throwing them in there. That's hard to do.

en The thing that I consider most important about my work is this: I told it like it is. I told my readers that the bad guys have a little of good in them, and the good guys have a lot of bad in them, and that you can't depend on anything much; nothing is always going to turn out roses.

en I more or less just told myself that this is my senior season and I need to enjoy it and not take things as seriously as before. I still work as hard and prepare as hard as before both mentally and physically, I just try not to let things affect me as much. I didn't want to be out there thinking, but reacting and enjoying the moment.

en Hard work isn't the whole thing either. It's working hard, but working smart at the same time, going to every single practice trying to improve on something.

en I think it's going to succeed. When you look at Roger and Troy, they've been successful in everything they've done. I think they're dedicated to making this thing work. Like I said, though, it's difficult when you first start out. There's going to be a learning curve for everybody involved here. . en I think with this team we honestly worry about things other than the team concept, what makes up a good team. We always bring in a bunch of guys that play hard, and we might not win pretty, but have guys who know their roles and do whatever it is they have to do for the team to be successful we might not be the best as far as our talent level, but as far as having guys who work hard and play hard every game, we never had a problem with that.
